My birdies love phone books as well, and it keeps them busy long enough for me to get some things done around the house!

I got that string I was telling you about the other day (that I left a link for) and it is FANTASTIC! Won't fray, and seems to be very sturdy. Even my Cockatoo has a time getting it apart! I hope you found something you could use!

Lola is absolutely gorgeous, and you guys made a great choice (although I am sure it was very hard)! I am sure she will be one spoiled birdie when she does get home. I am also waiting for my little one to come home with me. He will be getting shipped to me sometime near the end of January, and the wait is AWFUL! LOL....At least I have some other people to wait with

Hassan- Hope your birdy is doing okay, and all is well. I completely understand your concern with the changes in your birdies droppings. I would keep an eye on them, and if they seem strange to you, a call to the vet is always in order for something like that. In your situation though you should be okay as your bird just went to the vet, and I am sure they ran tests, but we can never be too careful when it comes to our fid's health.

It may very well be the tree, but every bird is different, and vocalize in different ways. Hopefully this will just be a phase for your fid

Just wanted to let everyone know that I put RoudyBush pellets into Barnaby's dish last night to see how it would go. I went ahead and did all pellets just out of curiosity of what he would do, and guess what? HE IS EATING THE CRAP OUT OF THEM! I am so happy that he made this transition so easily, and consider myself to be VERY lucky. Still no luck with veggies or fruits yet, but I will keep offering them every day. I am so happy everyone! I feel like this is one big bridge on this road that we have crossed over, and he did it so willingly Such a good bird.

The vet said "He's a Cockatoo, you're lucky he's not dead". These birds, there are so many, and shelters, there are so few There isn't any place for a neurotic Cockatoo "He stays here for a week or so, we'll see then how he feels". We can give him care and meds to help his body heal. Isn't that the truth. Kiwi thinks she is the biggest bird in the world, and tries to get at any other bird that I spend time with. She is very protective of her mommy. She is 8 months old, and has began to talk a bit. She says "step up, hey baby, tickle tickle, kiwi, hey kiwi" and a few other things that I haven't been able to make out just yet... I love her little voice though

Yeah, I have to agree with you on how much they love to unscrew anything they can get their beaks on. Do you possibly remember where you got this swing, or have a pic of it? I would love to possibly order a few of them.

Would love to know what you think of this book when you get done. I love to read about animals, especially books that I can learn helpful things from.
