  1. I agree Ray...I'm working 18 hour days today and tomorrow
  2. I plan to get Chickie microchipped at her yearly exam for sure.
  3. Your guys are the luckiest birdies ever to have such loving parronts!!!
  4. Chickie would do the same thing too. I'm hoping it's just a matter of getting her used to it. I had the same problem you did because she weighs 430g, so I got her the medium. I worry if it's almost too small, but a larg would be way too big.
  5. cute pics of miss Marco!! Don't worry too much about her chewing on the harness-Chickie likes to chew hers too until she realizes that she's outside and there's much cooler things to do than chew on that.
  6. Ahhh!! Ahhhh!!! No No No No!!! Make it stooooooppppp!! Ahhh!! Ahhh!! :-)
  7. Oh, also, my breeder suggested I get a basket that I can take around the house and place in the room I'm in and place Chickie on it. Sounds weird, but if you find a sturdy one it works great as a kind of portable play area.
  8. Thanks Nancy, hopefully someone will let us know for sure. I was under the impression that as long as it wasn't the shiny pages, like a magazine cover, that it was ok??? I sure hope it is because my Chickie just loves it.
  9. Thanks Judygram!! I was hoping people would laugh and not be offended :)

  10. We got ours from Dr. Foster's and Smith catalog. It's white and folds down for storage. It's about $50.
  11. You know what thy say...procrastination is like masturbation-in the end you're only screwing yourself
  12. Too funny!!! I hit my neighbors up for their phonebooks and newspapers that they just leave in their driveway. The local newspaper fits the bottom of Chickie's cage and playstand perfectly!!
  13. Roudybush is also a really good food, if you find that she doesn't like the Harrison's.
  14. So sorry to hear this. Hopefully they will all be ok.
  15. Making toys is definitely what kept me sane during the long wait.
  16. I'm so sorry poor willow has to go through this. . It sounds like she must have been clipped before she was properly fledged or just had a horrible clip. It's just not fair to her. Poor thing.
  17. Never know...those weatherpeople change the forecast like they change their underwear
  18. What a fun thread! It took me FOREVER to come up with a name for my Chickie. I went through tons of names and nothing seemed right. My breeder was saying, "I'm not rushing you but it really helps if I have a name to call her to get her used to it." I thought I almost had it figured out a few times, and then my boyfriend would veto it and it didn't seem right anyways. From day one I always called her my little chicken, but I didn't want to name her Chicken. I kept calling her my little chicken and then one day I called her my little Chickie instead, and it stuck. I knew right away that was her name. It fits her so well. . I changed the spelling from Chicky to Chickie because I thought it was cuter and finally we had a name!!
  19. Chickie has 2 phone books hung through the bars at the back top of her cage and she LOVES them. I come home to TONS of shredded paper on the bottom of her cage. She likes to go upside down and rip the pages. It sounds like you're doing a phenomenal job with both boys.
  20. How exciting for you and your family!! Can't wait to see pics!
