  1. My boyfriend and I, who are both big cooks, have been researching this subject. Has anyone used ceramic pans? Our ceramic knife is a favorite, and I'm wondering if ceramic, with its natural non stick properties, would be safe.
  2. Well, regardless I still would love to read more once you get your husband to work with you!
  3. It was so kind of you to save him. I'd love to see pictures of his recovery!
  4. I've been bragging about this to my family, who are incredibly interested in your progress. Do you feel like he is able to recognize other letters besides 'S' and just chooses not to?
  5. So cute! My family isn't a religion that celebrates Easter, but I totally bought some Easter candy anyway!
  6. She said earlier in chat that the breeder doesn't take the birds to the vet.
  7. Okay, I'm sorry for pressing the matter. If anything, I'd tell them to stop listing "all types of birds" if they only see poultry. The band is stainless steal, but is it solid or is it one that can be taken on and off?
  8. I am unsure of how large Bangalore is (I never did too well in geography) however if you run a search I've come up with three different vets that claim they see birds. Would you like the links?
  9. I did a google search and there are plenty of vets in your area. for example:http://bangalore.metromela.com/City+Veterinary+Hospital/store/Mysore+Road/20594 "City Veterinary Hospital on Mysore Road provides treatments for all types of animals and birds."
  10. That's a good idea, thanks! EDIT: Well, what I meant as that my ceilings are slanted, and they're high up. I'd need a huge ladder to reach them!
  11. My house was only built around 16 years ago, and the people that built the house thought it'd be fun to build crazy shaped ceilings...so all the ceilings are slanted and high. Is it easy to hand these from a wall somehow? Sorry for thread hijacking!
  12. I'm so sorry! I hope everyone is dealing okay.
  13. Congratulations on being his first! Hehe Seriously though, this is great! I'm very happy for you!
  14. I googled it: http://www.aerogrow.com/ It looks like a great idea for apartments. I'll be interested in what other people have to say on the subject!
  15. It's best to change the water as often as you can, like Ray P said. How are perches positioned in your cage? It's said that you shouldn't have any perches directly above the water if your bird is the type to use it as a toilet!
  16. Jayd, you are such a good person for taking that 'too in. He sounds like such a sweetie. I don't understand how someone can treat such a sweet animal that way.
  17. So then..why keep the bird in a different cage for sleeping?
  18. So a sleep cage could be put in the bedroom and the larger cage in the room where your family spends most of their time?
  19. That is just horrible! What a terrible story, and what terrible people! I'm so glad she is with better people now.
  20. Hahaha oh my gosh what a cutie! I had some bad medical news today and that really brightened things up!
  21. By the way, speaking of bird shows, do you know of one in the nyc/nj area? I couldn't find one online.
  22. I'll take your word on the quality of paint. It's a damn shame, too, because the price was great.
  23. Thanks! I, for some strange reason, want all the bird cages to match for my future birds, so I may just order three!
  24. I've been looking at different cages and found this one from petco. The picture has a grey in it, but I'm not too sure. http://www.petco.com/product/114150/PETCO-Designer-Mink-Brown-Standing-Parrot-Cage.aspx?CoreCat=certona-_-ProductList_Bird_3-_-PETCO%20Designer%20Mink%20Brown%20Standing%20Parrot%20Cage-114150
  25. I'd tell those soccer moms that their kids are being too loud and annoying your birds!
