  1. The Cleveland Zoo has a great interactive aviary with lorikeets. You can go into the aviary with the Lories. If you buy a cup of nector the lories will land on you and drink the nector from your cup. They do not want you to try and hold them because they are wild birds, I have had as many as 10 Lories on me at one time drinking from the cups I was holding. It was great. I think there is around 100 or so Lories in this aviary.

    Budgie shower

All clean and ready to go out on the town.
  3. Each grey is their own and each one will like differant things and activities. When Corky came home at 16 weeks old she spent the first two weeks low in her cage and than moved up as time whent on. Now the lowest she will go is down to her food, treat and water dish. So now the bottom of her cage is wasted space.

    Piper Update

Piper is a good looking male tiel and he does not look that old. The one thing about a tiel is that they will take to the family and you can have a lot of fun with them. The more you handle them the better they get with all that are around them.

  12. Hi Timbersmom and welcome to the grey forum. It sounds like Timber has not been with you very long so he may need more time to settle in to his new home. It may take a little time but he will come around. Keep up with what you are trying to do with his diet.
  13. My first parrot was a parakeet (or budgie if you wish) and that was many many years ago. I was about 10 or 11 at that time and his or her name was hawk. Back than when you bought a bird they gave you a paper that said give seed and fresh water daily and keep cage clean, that was it. Back in the 50`s there was no internet and we lived in the country so it was a long trip to town that had a very small library with few books so you were on your own. But we made it and had many years of fun and enjoyment and that was my start with parrots that has given me a lifetime of joy.
  14. They sure can let you know how they feel.
  15. There is a massage here. If you rehome your parrot make sure they don`t know any of your secrets. lol
  16. At this point in time I would not do any more trimming or try to balance the wings. Enought damage has already been done. If you have new ferhers growing in on the trimed wing and you cut the good fethers it will just take a lot longer before she ready to fly. Just let them grow out on there own.
