That binder is awesome! I have a binder for each of my pets, 2 dogs and Babalu. They do not look like that though! Mine are the ones with the clear pockets and I put a picture of what pet if belongs to in it.

I think... you were referring to bird safe store, not "my" bird safe store. Their pellets are cheaper... not much though. Oh wait, I just looked at both sites, only the one pounder of Harrisons High Potency is cheaper at the store I mentioned. I only buy the 1lb bags of the high potency so thats all I looked at before I started typing. Anyway I will just stop typing now

When my grey "shivers" usually it means he wants to step up and go somewhere else, or be with me. He cannot fly at the moment (clipped) so this is one of his ways to let me know he wants to be moved or picked up. The other times, he does this when he is nervous along with biting at his nails (which has now became a habit) since I moved to Va.

When I made scrabbled eggs before in the micro, I just mixed, then put in glass bowl and set time. I always watched them though, cause they cook super fast and expand. So when they started to puff up, I would open the door and mix then put back in. I had to mix a couple times before done. I don't remember the exact time it took but maybe say 2 eggs for like 2 minutes?? I will have to experiment again with times. I think I have a microwave poacher too somewhere...

Babalu eats eggs any way I prepare them. I just started trying to give him shell with his hard boil egg. He does not seem to eat to much of the shell though. Hmm, I guess I don't really know how much he does eat because he rips it all apart and makes a huge mess in and out of his bowl. I forgot you can cook eggs in the mirco! Thanks for the reminder.

I thought that was the other one, but I emailed the Alex Foundation and they responded with they placed him in a home with a lady named Maggie, I forgot her last name (I deleted the email), but she was an author of a book about greys.

I wonder what they did with him.. Poor guy.

Ok, so I got the Red Palm Oil from Swansons... It smells so bad! Babalu does not seem to care for it yet. I tried putting it on top of his PB toast but I guess I put a little to much cause he did not like it. So I mixed it with his blended mash and he was eating it. I just can't get over the smell.

I was thinking the same thing about not eating veggies unless they are blended and warmed. But mine eats pellets and these veggie weggie chips made for birds and some nuts of course.

I did not really know how to describe the grunt sounds, but you did it! Haha, I would have said like a faint whistle out of the nose, LOL.

I just finished the book! I have a question though... I did not remember if I read what had happened to the grey Kyo or Kylo was it? I do not have the book with me at the moment to remember the name right... But it was a great book, I might try the method she used to teach Babalu to see if it works for him. He won't tell me he is hungry or thirsty or he wants to step up... He says some of those things but doesn't mean he wants them when he says them. Lately though I hear him trying to talk when alone more, like full sentences not just one worders.

I can hear hear some of Babalu's too. The morning poops (and some others), he will push so hard and when it comes out he will grunt or make like a pushing noise. Its funny.

GoDiego, your Amazons feathers look great! His color is so vibrant! And/or you must have a high quality camera to capture his colors.

I saw the recommendations for sawnsons in other posts too, I was just checking other places and I saw it on ebay with no label and was just curious. I guess I should not take any chances with other products when we know swansons is good, if its not broke why fix it, right? I have not tried this before so I hope he likes it! Thanks again Dave

Here is an update on how Babalu eats his mash now. I have to blend it! Otherwise he picks out the apples and leaves the rest. Oh, and I warm it in the microwave. When it is warm he gobbles it up so fast for the first few bites, then he slows down once it starts to cool. I also have been trying the different spices I have read that people add, I think he favors cinnamon and his least favorite seems like the ginger as of now. Most of the time, I do not add anything though.

it was a joke, some dogs (like mine) will lick poo off the floor if they get to it before I can.

In the last couple of days, there has been big feathers at the bottom of the cage, no clipped ones yet though...
