Hello. It's been a while since my last post. First I gotta say thank you for having an Amazon room here since I added a DYH to my flock Yay! There may be some of you that have already met Chili on other boards that I belong to. For those that have not I'd like you to meet Chili Pepper. Chili is a Double Yellow Head Amazon and he is 8 months. I hand fed him since he was 6 weeks old. He is very content to hang out either on my arm or his perch but just wants to be with his human flock. He is very sweet and I am enjoying him now at this young age before he turns into a Jeckyl and Hyde-lol. I did my research long before Chili came home and am aware of what I might be getting myself into with a "hot three". Enjoy the pictures.

Hello everyone, Wow, it's been a while since I been on. Like to give you an update on my flock. Slater my CAG is doing great. He will be two in May. He's turned into quite a talker. For whatever reason he seems to mimic my husband's voice over mine. My husband will work on a word or phrase with him and I am amazed how fast he picks things up. He such a goofball, he keeps me entertained. He enriches my life and I could not imagine my life without him. please excuse the coffee maker brewing in the background Also I'll be posting pictures of Chili Pepper my DYH Amazon on the amazon link very soon. I bought a hanging playgym for Slater that he just loves from Parrot Play World - www.parrotplayworld. I bought the Centurian model. He loves it.

Hello Everyone, I will be bringing my baby CAG home in August and I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I want a happy, healthy, sociable and well-adjusted bird. I have done LOTS of research but still have many concerns. My baby will be coming home fully weaned. These are some of my questions: Can I handle and love on my CAG? Should touching be kept to the head and neck area only or can I pet other parts (back, feet, wings, tail) or will this stimulate sexual behavior? Can I feed warm foods on occasion (for example oatmeal from a spoon) to building the bond? Will he preceive me as mommy and choose another favorite person? Basically I want the do’s and don’ts for raising a well adjusted parrot. I don’t know how I would feel if my bird chose another. I am the one that will be feeding, cleaning, playing with him (my husband and daughters have other interests). What is the best way to prevent this from happening? Thanks all!

Hi Everyone, It's official. DNA came back and Slater is a boy!!!! I'm very excited. Here are his most current photos. Is he precious? I'm in love!!! Can't wait for this Saturday as I get to go meet the little fella!!!! Hurry up Saturday!!!!!
