  1. Good evening all! I was in Michael's Crafts and found some wood that I thought I might be able to make a stand. Is Dula even a wood and if so is it safe? The other thing I am unsure about is that the label said "bleached" - Dula Stick Bleached. I didn't buy it. I want to be sure it is safe before I do. What do you guys think? Here are a couple pictures. Thanks<br><br>Post edited by: fidsandfrats, at: 2009/05/22 03:19

I tried this on a straw using a sharpener for like a lip liner. It didn't work out very well and if it did it would have taken me a million years to do many. Help!!! Thank you!!!!
  3. That is wonderful!!! It's a real cool feeling when I leave the house to go grocery shopping with poop on my shoulder and don't find out about it until I get home. Why couldn't my family have told me befoer i left the house? - grrrrrr Always do a Potty Check! LOL

  5. Hi Everyone, I don't want to clip my bird as I love for him to be able to enjoy flying from swing to boing. Here's the question. How does one control the poop droppings all over the house? Thanks

  8. Hi Caitlin, Definitely ask those questions. Thanks.
  9. Hi Caitlin. Thanks for your reply. I have another question. I asked my breeder if she spends lots of time playing, cuddling and holding her babies as I am aware that socialization should start early on. She said that they are placed in brooders for the 3 weeks and they only have contact when being handfed because they are so young and have to stay at a certain temp. At 5-6 weeks they are put in their cage and taken out every feeding to be handled and fed. They are never exposed to outside persons or birds only her family and family pets in order to control what they are exposed to. She said that the babies are fed by her and her husband and they are handled every feeding which starts at 5 times a day. Just wondering if what the breeder is doing is standard and customary. Thanks!<br><br>Post edited by: fidsandfrats, at: 2009/05/19 18:11
  10. I have a stupid question. Often times I will come across pictures of pet parrots that are outside. They don't appear to be wearing a harness, they don't appear to be inside an enclosure and they don't appear to be clipped. Perhaps they are clipped. How does someone do that? I'd be afraid my bird would still fly away as she was such a strong flyer even when clipped.<br><br>Post edited by: fidsandfrats, at: 2009/05/19 17:48

  13. Hi LovemyGreys I asked my breeder if she spends lots of time playing, cuddling and holding her babies as I am aware that socialization should start early on. Her response was that the babies are fed by her and her husband and they are handled every feeding which starts at 5 times a day. Does this sound right to those that raise handfeed babies?<br><br>Post edited by: fidsandfrats, at: 2009/05/19 19:23

  15. The baby is still in the nestbox. He just hatched last Thursday. Supposed to be pulled in 2-3 weeks. As soon as he is pulled I will post pictures. Can't wait, can't wait.
  16. Hi caitb2007 Thanks for the warm welcome! He has always wanted a TAG and when he and his wife divorced I rehomed her to him. She loved him and he her so it was a perfect match. I was sorry to see her go but if you could see them together it would warm your heart. I was able to see her anytime I wanted but he just moved to PA so I may not be able to see her quite as often. I always wanted a CAG but heard all the negatives about them. When I rehomed my TAG I just had to have a CAG.
