  1. The devotion to Spock (and the rest of your flock) is absolutely wonderful and I didn't doubt for one minute that little Spock wouldn't be getting the most dedicated care and attention from you both. Thanks for the update - I'm willing him along
  2. Oh Dee! What are you like!! You take your loss and turn it into a positive. You are unbelievable!! I know what quilting means to you (there's nobody I know who gets up at 6am to watch a programme about quilting)!! What a lovely, lovely thing to do - you're an angel! I can't wait to see the progress. What a lovely idea - be sure to put me down for a ticket!
  3. Ha Ha! So simple, but then again - so am I and I am laughing out loud (alone)!!! Karma for making me laugh - perhaps she wants to move that ace to the top left hand corner "two"!!
  4. Oh Ram - she is sooooo sweet! She's all tired from that mothering she's been doing (or not as your photos have shown!!). You clearly get UK channels over there - I fall asleep regularly too!! Great photo of sweet Pakshi - thanks for sharing
  5. Welcome Sarah and Whiskey Johnny! What a fab name!!! I tried to psychoanalyse the name and got it so, so wrong!!! I thought celtic would either be Scottish or Irish and then narrowed it down precisely to the fact that Whiskey was involved - definitely Scottish!!! HOW WRONG WAS I!!! Nothing to do with parrots - but I love the little ones doing Irish dancing!!!
  6. Poor little Vree (and you). I agree with Greywings - they are clumsy and Harvey often finds himself in "sticky situations". Dave's given some great advice, and you seem to be following that line also - I too believe that the best course of action is to try and limit movement as much as humanely possible - which will be very difficult and hard for you to do to your darling Vree. We are all here for you - and when one of our family has troubles, we share them too - we are all here for you. Love and prayers for a swift recovery for Vree.
  7. Hi and welcome to our family. I too have read your thread about the break. You will get all of the care and support (for both of you) from us here at Grey Forums - and I look forward to hearing more about you both.
  8. Harvey loves their Nutriberries. They do some great snacks and treats - Harvey's favourite is the "spicy crackers" they produce. I'm sure Beau & Argle will love them too.
  9. Hi Tom - there's plenty in there and you are quite correct in rotating them - four or five good toys are what is usually advised, but Ollie still needs room to spread his wings and move about. Make sure he has enough space to climb to his perches etc without having to move heavy toys etc. Harvey isn't scared of new toys either - so it's fantastic in our house too!
  10. I really hope you find a good home for Popeye - it's a shame you feel you have to get him rehomed. I'd love another one - but Harvey is also 13 months and keeps me on my toes!
  11. Ha Ha! He's not happy you're taking the photo for sure!! Look at him all fluffed up! You'll have to get Ollie primed for his time in front of the camera! Thanks for the picture of Ollie - he's a little cutie.
  12. Hi Carol - welcome back! I've missed your coconut heads! Can't wait to see the pictures of your new bird room too - those birdies are sooo lucky!!!
  13. Hi greylvr and welcome to our family! Well done on rehoming both your birds - it takes a special person to do so. You find tons of information on the forum - but anything that you feel you'd like to ask yourself, ask away! Nothing is deemed "stupid" and anything you may think stupid - I'll have already asked  Hope you'll have a great time here - enjoy!
  14. Hi mabdewn and welcome to our family! You will find a load of information in all of the rooms, which we hope is helpful. If there is something specific you wish to ask - go ahead - there's normally always someone around who can help you out. Looking forward to finding out more about you both and seeing some photos
  15. Mmmm - that cake looks lovely Caitlin - and Ecko is sure enjoying it! Happy Hatchday Ecko!!!
  16. ramsabi wrote: Ha Ha! That's a girl!! What a beautiful photo - thank you so much (parents too) for allowing us to peek into such precious lives. Looking forward to many more!
  17. ramsabi wrote: Never a truer word spoken. I have never seen such love, devotion and bravery in respect to what ramsabi and his wife endured in order that Rishi could receive the best care possible. This is a story that many of us do not have to re-visit, it is as fresh in our minds as they days over which it happens (for newer members, please click above on "Rishi is very sick" in order that you can see what these guys did). I am so, so sorry that Rishi is still not well and my prayers, thoughts and wishes are directed at yourselves and Jay & Maggie. I will think about you all at every little opportunity. Keep strong, keep going - you know where we all are.
  18. Awww! She's beautiful! I love, love, love babies!!! Thank you for sharing your photos - can't wait to see some more
  19. Hi and welcome to our family! We have other members from Oman so if you need any advice about where to buy things etc they'll only be too pleased to help. There are lots of reading materials to help you with your new baby - there is so much to learn when you first bring your grey home. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your new baby - and you certainly will get a lot of support to help you along your way
  20. Oooh! Lovely!! I take it he enjoyed it (as much as the tuna sandwich!!!). That's it then - you've found the secret - hide his food within his muffins!!! I echo the sentiment Spock....live long and prosper
  21. kittykittykitty wrote: That is so beautiful ~ a very sad time, tinged with such beauty and peace. I think we seem to forget that parrots are wild animals, and that they have to live somewhere - pity it's not the North Eastern part of England!!! You lucky, lucky people
  22. I am soooo jealous! Harvey mumbles "hello" and "Michael" - but that's it! He impersonates a seagull brilliantly, quacks like a duck on command and his new blackbird tune is his best so far!! Alas, no chat!! He's 13 months now and I'm hoping it will come soon! Great news Paco - keep it coming
  23. Check Tully out!! He is looking fantastic. He is standing there so regal - so properly settled in!! He is looking great - you can really see those new baby feathers coming in. Keep us updated - he's gorgeous
  24. Davie - I have a java branch in Harvey's cage. Already treated and safe from the manufacturer. They are tough, durable, easily cleaned and best of all great for his feet with the different sizes offered all over the branch. I do go and get apple branches during the summer - but it's a right faff. Great idea Caitlin - loved the bit about the hot sun - Davie and I are from the UK...........yip - there lies the problem!!! Send some sun to us  That's a great link too Caitlin - thanks for that
  25. Hey! still got time for a wave there Spock - I'm waving back and sending all my thoughts to you and the rest of your flock (and of course Jay & Maggie).
