All joking aside here. I beg to differ that;
a, greys look like pidgeons - maybe to a child or the simple-minded. An african grey looks NOTHING like a pidgeon. I've never seen a pidgeon that has a red tail, a hooked beak or that can talk for that matter. There are many other more subtle differences.
b,that they are more unattractive when they are older. As Beau has been shedding his baby tail feathers, the new ones are more red and vibrant than the old ones.
