I am thinking of purchasing a sleep cage for my parrots for those times that I have people till late in the night. I'd like to be able to give them peace and quiet to sleep in another room. What a real bummer:( Lot's of luck with the breeder but if they are reasonable they will foot the vet bill as well as the medication bill. I wonder if he got it while mucking around in his feces somehow. Baby parrots tend to do that alot especially if they are grouped with other babies and cross contamination occurs too during feedings. It's a wonder that it wasn't detected earlier. E-coli bacteria is really not fun to have and can even be fatal. Woohoo!

Today I served sprouts to Emma for the very first time. She enjoyed them almost immediately! It took me only 3 days to grow them. Today it was Adzuki beans, next week I will have her try garbanzo bean sprouts and sunflower seed sprouts. Do you guys sprout for your parrots too?
