Do your parrots talk in front of strangers? Mine definitely don't. At home they are quite the chatterboxes. If it weren't for my videos on youtube and the sound of them yakking when I am on the phone.. my friends would not believe that Emma says the things she does. When visitors are over, they are as quiet as bunnies and just look like birds on a stick.:lol:

Interesting. Not sure how I feel about this. Emma doesn't have any behaviours that annoy me. I think that if she were doing the banging thing that you talk about I'd have to investigate and try to find the root cause of this. Well... after doing alot of research and thinking, I have purchased my Emma the Kings aluminum travel/sleep cage. In addition, I spoke to several parrot owners who already own them and they are EXTREMELY pleased with this specific cage. I chose this one so that I can take her along with me on a weekend or overnight trip as well as being able to use it should we need to evacuate quickly for some reason. Today I purchased 2 very cool perches for my girlies. I purchased them from the same company I purchased Emma's swing in this video. I like the birdie bagels and the pieces of wood that are attached to the wood. Yes guys! I haven't made it yet. It will be my first time... but I know exactly how I am going to make it and then I will share my know how. Today I just soaked the kidney beans, and chick peas. Seriously speaking...you have a very unique situation. I really believe that if your living conditions and lifestyle permit. it is always better to have more that one parrot. Parrots are hardwired to be flock creatures. In the wild, one parrot alone usually is a a LOST parrot or one who has been abandoned by the flock.. usually due to a physical handicap or sickness. A single parrot in the wild also runs the risk of being killed by a predator more easily. There is strength in numbers. My point here is that I have 2 parrots, I wouldn't have it any other way. Let's be realistic. You can't be in the same room as your parrots 24 hours a day. When you are out or in another part of your home they keep each other occupied and entertained. My parrots regard each other as their flock. They are never really physically alone. They've learned how to share, how to be patient and take turns with my attention. I think when there is only one parrot.. the issue of possessiveness and jealousy occurs more frequently.
