1. Terri, Bella sounds like a very smart grey. Like Judy and Erika, I would luv to see a video of Bella and her rhyming. Bella is such a jewel and I luv her stories. Thanks for sharing them.!
2. Great pictures Caitb. Thanks for sharing them!!! Slater is a handsome looking grey!!!
3. Hi Boocha, I would have your friend come over and get acquainted with your birds first. So they are use to the voice and what the person looks like. Have the person feed and water them a couple of times before you leave. I would also like to see your friend stop by on Saturday as well as Sunday for a little while to feed, water, and talk to your birds. Having a radio and the birds in the same room are excellent ideas. Good luck and have fun on your family get-together. Happy Holidays!!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2008/12/17 01:50
4. I wouldn't want to go below 62 degrees. I'm from the State of Washington. Mostly rainy here but yesterday it snowed and will tomorrow also, so the weatherpeople say.

7. Great picture of Savage Brian. He sounds like he does live up to his name! But his confidence is a tribute to his loving parront.
8. Ana Grey, 4 month old Timneh, has some red on her tail and lower feathers. Her breeder says some of her babies have this but doesn't know if after the first molt they are gone. I told her I would let her know.
9. Hey, Caitlin welcome to you and Slater. From your Avatar Slater is a fine looking Congo. There are threads on posting pictures and such in the forum rooms, just look at the top of the page, tons of info there. Once you get in all figured out we would luv to see more pictures of Slater and the other FIDs you have. Glad you decided to join our family!!!:silly:

11. I received these also and after looking at their demos dismissed them and unsubscribed. I think anyone who orders parrot stuff on the internet probably gets them. I too would like to hear if anyone has success with them.
12. I believe plucking can happen for all kinds of reasons, boredom, illness, heredity, bad environment-- air circulation thus dry skin, nervousness, a long line of things, the most important thing is to do whatever you can to stop or correct the "cause" or "condition." And thanks to Dave and Dan, and any number of other experienced grey owners in this forum, and a good avian vet if necessary for medication, a caring grey owner can find a solution. If I find Ana Grey develops this problem, for sure this is the first place I will come for answers, Gee I luv this forum!!! Oh yeah, 4 month old TAG-- no plucking or destruction.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2008/12/17 00:09

14. Empera, have you tried to find the book on the internet?
15. Hi, it's wonderful that you chose to give a forever home to an older grey. I don't have any experience with greys but like any animal, love wins over every time. Just continue to be patient and caring, talk to Roscoe, leave the cage door open when you are present and handle treats and toys you know he will like in front of him to entice him, let him come to you. With your patience it will all come. Roscoe is a lucky guy to have you. I salute you.
16. I had a long time to think of a name for my grey. The first were Cisco and Frisco, then Tallula, Sweet Pea, then Lola, my grandson still calls her Saber, but in the end after she was DNA'd and was so sweet; she became Ana Grey. It seems so right!!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2008/12/15 19:34
