The cheetos I give my fids are called corn puffs and the last ingredient on the list is salt. I give them very few so I believe we are fine.

Ana Grey is an ice cube junkie also!!!! She steals them from my glass all the time and holds them in her toes to lick on them. In the summer I also put ice cubes in her bath and she loves it!!!! Looking forward to seeing some pictures of BoBo!

I give my fids slivers of sharp cheddar cheese about once a week also Cheetos once in a while. They love them and what is life without a little good eat' n???

Wow Cricket you have a lot of balls for a well, Girl!!!! I'm still new here and so I'm still trying to get the lay of the land so to speak. It wasn't fun living outside with the breeding greys. They were not very sociable and well pretty busy doing their own thing (heh, heh). So I'm just glad to be back in the real world. There is this little pesty grey here that pretty much thinks the "world is hers" she pesters me all the time and the lady is always telling us to be good, but darn that little gnat is annoying!!!! Maybe once I get to know that I REALLY do get a nice new home and I can trust this lady I might pull so of my old tricks, but I still don't think I want to poop on her!!!! Clean up your act little Cricket!! Big Louie knows what he's talking about!!!

It certainly sounds like you are doing things right to get your new grey to trust you. As Dave says, just be patient and non-threatening to your grey. By the way what is her name? I have a re-homed Amazon who is still working at trusting me and I have had him for a couple of months. He wants to, as he will take food from my hand and come close to where I am, but he still will not let me touch him, so I will just wait until he is ready. Am I correct your grey is 6; is that 6 months or 6 years old?

I have moved my grey from the living room to the office to the bird room, she just doesn't care. She is all over the house anyway. The only way to find out is to make the move!!!! I believe as long as your bird is secure and comfortable with the flock, all will be rosy!!

I have a problem, I believe I have posted about Betsy before. I am told she is an orange wing amazon whose parronts were both elderly. Betsy was the wife's bird, more of less, and when she died, the husband tried to care for Betsy but then he also died. The couple's daughter is not a bird person and turned Betsy over to Johnnie's Jungle. No one has wanted to purchase Betsy. She does not pluck but she also does not talk (which is what most people want unfortunately) She does make a few noises. I don't mind as both Ana Grey and Louie are great talkers and learning more all the time. I don't need any more talkers unless then really want to talk!!! Because the owner of the store thinks I am going great with Sully, she has offered me a deal. $250 for Betsy with cage. My problem is I only want to adopt needy birds, Betsy is not really needy except that the store owner thinks that she needs a good home and would be very happy with me. I am afraid that Louie (Blue-front) and Betsy (Orange-wing) might really hit it off and I don't want any little zons. I believe blue-front and orange-wings are pretty close. Johnnie is going to try to find the paperwork on Betsy so I can get some idea of how old Betsy is. So someone talk me out of this little mess before I too become a talked about Hoarder!!!!! I really miss you Jay!!!!!
