ok I do not want to over step but I recently read that you can you use a light mixture of Dawn dish soap and water. PLease research this as I am not a expert and dont want to cross any lines. But I do know they use dawn for birds after oil spills and recently read where a grey fell into a cold pan of oil and this is what was suggested to clean her up. God bless you for saving this baby from where he was and I am so glad hes interacting with you , he just wants to be loved!

I have to say I dont think its always fair to tell other thats its a terrible thing they have done with regards to wing clipping. Personally I have a situation where mine is attcking and dive bombing my son ( hes 17 not a little child btw), hes afraid to leave his room when ZZero is out . I have read and tried and tried to make this better but I can not let my own son not be comfortable in his own house. We have worked this problem from differnt angles for almost a month and I am considering a wing clip even though I swore I never would. I dont think its fair to put such a judgment on somthing that is widly accepted thru out the bird world. Hang in there Connielu!

hes great , we made it! I panicked cause all I could think of is the tale where birds eat rice and blow up I just pictured him getting all bubbly. What a little punk. but we are good and Dave was correct and I am so glad he and Judy were here to help

ok this is exactly what I have just done with the qtips, the vets office have a call into my avain vet but he happens to not be on call tonight so they were gonna try, the suggested I call a diffent vet. I put the pieces together and I truly dont think he ingested any but it was all over his beak. Stella is so cute trying to use her little ( HUGE lol) feet. I made a toy like yours and its Zzeros favorite he pushes his head in and rubs up and down and side to side. the great thing about the cotton mob is it breaks apart very easy a little tug can rip a string but as always still use cation.

I was gonna post the same question lol I let ZZero have a taste last night.

OMG LOL this is the same stuff I have been saying to ZZero all day, I have been telling him man he must have it rough to be so mean to me! We had a bad day gonna explain that in another post.

you can not take any animals to Hawaii ever. They have very strict policies and you have to jump thru hoops for months. I have been looking into moving to Hawaii and last year when I went I wanted to take my dog. Its a big nono for the islands as they are rabies free and require a quarantine till this year it was 6 months but they changed some rules to be stightly more lax but again after jumping thru hoops for quite awhile. I will try and find the link for you. Now I am not 100% about birds but I believe their policies restrict them also.

hes so cute man ZZero rejected the harness so bad that I gave up and bought him a travel cage but I would really love to to have fly circles around me . great job hes just beautiful

what brand harness is that??

Hes almost 11months, this is our second tail feather and we have have molted our back , head and chest (now).I look at all his feathers they are not chewed in anyway so I do not think he pulled them (i hope) it was a month between red feathers. I do see a pin peaking out. Just one...

ZZero has another new tail feather coming !! but my question is, he has had attitude the last few days and being quite spitful ( I swear on purpose), could it be the tail feather hurts more then others when they come in?? We have only had 1 other tail come in and it seems to me like he was a punk then also, I remember thinking mabey it hurts. I was so excited when I saw another red feather in his cage but ever since hes just been a moody...... next question, I have a really really really annoying mocking bird who sits out the window of the room ZZero sleeps and does his annoying yells all night long, any suggestions to running him off? Think I could play a radio real low at night in the same room as ZZero while he sleeps?? great stand, on my last stand I made Zzero for the bedroom I used a thicker grade sisal after you wrapp it on go back and twist I then finiahed the ends with vet wrapp and so far so good, he hasnt spent more then 2 hours on it so far though so... Like I said in my mail to you I am pretty sure the wrapp is safe, its made for all types of animals that may chew so I THINK we are ok ,if anyone knows anything different please let us know.

Also if he bites while on your hand try the "earthquake", you can roll your hand back and forth or just dropp a couple inches, he will lose his balance and concentrate on righting himself rather then biting. he will soon learn biting while on your hand does not work out well.

OH you should try it, mine loves it and is constantly rolling off my shoulder so I can cradle him. Shadys is so darn cute I cant stand it, I just love all the pics of him growing thanks for sharing them with us

ZZero loves his shower, he falls asleep! I just tried the water in the bottom of the tub with the shower running, when I thought we were all done he plain refused to step up he just wanted to sit there and dose off. I take him everytime I go sometimes we get soaked somtimes he just steams on the curtain rod. I like to take baths and I bring him with me he sits on his basket and sings to me the whole time, I actually take twice as many baths now cause I love our alone time .
