ITS BEEN A FANTASTIC WEEK IN LIVERPOOL. Its been sunny and warm for a change.I hope this weather keeps up for the weekend.The waterfront is never far away in Liverpool but we are a little short of beaches.Formby and Ainsdale are the nearest,about 30 mins away. Not far.

The best way to help is to keep him busy. Offer plenty of things to chew,phonebooks keep my grey happy for ages.Also offer foraging toys so he must work for some food treats and they last longer, allow as much time out of the cage as you can.Hope this helps.

Happy hatch day Ana Grey. Janet, how did you get her to love her Jolly ball. I want one for Charlie but he would fly a mile from it. Ana Grey looks so confident,and she has matured into such a beautiful young lady.

Charlie is 6-7 years old and has a vocabulary of about 100-150 words. He has many small sentances, such as hello Cracker,want some,Ill batter ya,shake hands,hello there how are you. He can say many things in the right context . He calls Cracker over to him by saying Cracker come on,come on.I cant let them out together because Cracker is daft enough to go to him.He does appear to understand a lot of what he can say.He will say who made that mess as I am cleaning his cage,Hurry up ,come on when he is waiting to be given his toast of a morning.He does all the usual household sounds,telephone,microwave,mobile phone key clicks,ect.He also whistles the z cars theme tune(everton fc anthum) and whistles lots of his own made up tunes,the McDonalds whistle at the end of the tv advert.He does not repeat words I have tried to teach him. Great pictures.Thats so funny, they really could not be any further apart.At least they are on the same stand so we live in hope.Who knows maybe Keekos wing injury could mean the start of them getting on better.Glad Keeko is feeling a bit better today.

Worms, yuk,I would be in touch with the manufacturer,unless they are old pellets that have not been stored right.I keep the Harrisons in the bag they come in in the fridge. Oh ,harmful or not my birds would not get infested pellets.

Great video.Charlie is pestering me for a swing like Dixies,did you make it?

I was relieved to hear the news Caroline.That is almost exactly what Charlie done to his wing and he is fine now.My vet lets you stay with the bird and I find it very reasuring. Keeko will be good as new in no time.

I do shift work and one week I start at 6.30am the next week it a 2pm start.When on earlies I have no choice but to uncover the birds and feed them before I leave.Charlie will often want out,so I let him have a little time out. I get up at 5am to do this.Some mornings I just get a dirty look from him as if to say are you kidding,im not getting up yet.I do feel sly having to do this but the two birds are not really bothered and just get on with it.I also believe in routine and some thing in the birds day dont change.

Echo is a beautiful grey.I think the basket is a fantastic idea ,Ecko looks so happy.I love the idea of our pet birds getting fresh air and feeling the breeze in their feathers.

Houdini is one content little baby bird.

I hope Keeko is ok.I think I too would keep him in his cage till he goes the vet.I hope it turns out to be nothing serious.

Harley is magnificent.I am so glad he is home with you at last.
