I too use Poop Off, I usually get a decent sized bottles at bird shows that come through - and it is wonderful! Works on clothes too...B)

I live in dayton, and I too have heard of people or rescues taking in birds temporarily until you 'get your feet on the ground' so to speak. Parhaps try a google search. If all else fails, and it's safe for you - please consider moving back into your mothers house, even if it may be uncomfortable. I moved out of my parents house when I was 16 and moved in with a friends family, and life was very hard for me. I worked most of the time to afford just rent and food and a ride to work while juggling highschool on top - I would never have been able to afford a parrot past the inital purchase price, if something medical came up I would have been in big trouble. Good luck with this tough sitiuation, please keep us posted!!

So, last night I went to Olive Garden and got some pasta (of course! lol) I have some noodles left over that I'd like to cook for dinner. I also know that Indi and Woody would LOVE to have some. However, some of my saliva has gotten on some parts from my fork last night - but if I am baking it for dinner wouldn't that kill all the germs? Think it's safe to share, or no? Just curious! -A

I know, exactly. He's like a big kid, never wanted that toy until someone else wanted it, or mom wants to get rid of it...then allllll of a sudden they LOVE that toy! :laugh:

I am hoping that Joseph learns to be confident around birds, I would love for him to be able to work with Woody as well. However, I'm also a little anxious that Indi will end up liking him more I feel guilting for being so bird selfish, but .... lol

Second day is going great so far! Indi is so sweet and OMG so curious! I've got to keep an eye on him at all times! lol... He even steps up for my boyfriend, who is a bit nervous around birds but Indi seems to love him! ( ) He will glide over to our shoulders and is afriad of nothing! Woody seems unaffected, other than this morning when Indi was playing with one of his old toys (that woody NEVER has touched) and woody looks at him and says "Stop it! Go lie down!" :laugh:

Oh my gosh it's an upside down bird! Hehe, cute video!

So, woody's poop has been a dark brown color yesterday and then again today. He is still eating, drinking and acting normal - still shredding phone books and stepping up for me and singing. But, usually his poop is green so I'm wondering. Now, I got him a new seed formula - it's less seed and more pellets, not much but some. Let's say his food change has nothing to do with it. Is there anything that causes brown poop? I've looked at some other posts, but I'm still wondering. Here are some pictures. I've decided not to go with the name Gleadr. Gleadr was a dragon, and (now named Indi) is so small and sweet - not a fitting name at all. Since I got him from INDIanapolis, INDIana....we're going with the name Indi!

He is singing morning songs with me. He will only sing and dance if I'm singing and dancing (he doesn't want to look like the only fool - lol! :laugh: ). We're having a concert!

The others have all given excellent advice, ignore him when he screams and reward silence. He can't talk yet, so this is his form of communicating with you. He is young, so it's hopefully a phase - just be patience and give it time. Best of luck!
