  1. I'd have to find a supplier over here. That is $32 for one dish:ohmy: Its a little on the expensive side;) But I will have a hunt I am sure they must sell into Europe as well. Thank you so much, Siobhan
  2. Thank you Patrick. They look like they could work:woohoo: ! Now I just need to find someone who will ship to Ireland. But at least I have an idea what to look for;)
  3. Your grey is only 17 months so you should be ok for the purposes of getting him used to the harness handling him on his back and wings. Once he is used to the harness you wont need to do that anymore. Its really as the bird gets older that you need to avoid stimulating him.
  4. I have that one and both Liath and Oisin are afraid of it  They wont go near it so they don't eat when its in the cage. For a grey size it is quite big thing inside the cage. Thank you for your ideas though! Keep them coming. I will find a dish that Liath aka Houdini can't undo.
  5. They are the ones I am using - I got the name wrong. I bought them at 24parrot too! But Liath has figured out how to twist them and lift them. Tracy those ones look cool. Has anyone ever tried those?
  6. He is so clever;) I can't believe he managed to get it onto the jack!
  7. I am looking for new ideas on grey proof dishes. Liath has successfully mastered the art of undoing the crock lock ones now. If any of you have links or pictures or names of dishes which your mischievious greys can't undo and tip, please let me know;) Thanks Siobhan
  8. Thank you Ryann for this apology. And for explaining why you got so upset. I hope you will give the forum another chance and a new start;) Siobhan
  9. Hi Stacy, Welcome to the forum. You have come to the right place to learn all about these beautiful birds. Taking the time to find out everything you can about them will be invaluable in deciding whether a grey is the right bird for you;) Good luck with whatever you decide, and let us know how it goes with the Amazon. Siobhan
  10. I hate these games - I'm always wrong Anyways I'm going to say male too, only because you have referred to him as male since he was hatched and I have come to know him as male. It would be weird now to think of him as a she:laugh:
  11. That is so sad that he had such a tough start. But you have him now and you know that he will be happy for the rest of his days Sending you some karma for being such a good mum!
  12. Locking cups are any type of cup which takes Liath longer than a few days to figure out how to undo. Right now she has ones called crock locks. She has those sussed so I am on the lookout for new ones. Does anyone have any suggestions? Preferably ones with a combination lock or a dead bolt:laugh:
  13. I'd go with the larger new cage. Because its bigger. And your TAG will probably figure out how to the get the bowls out of the bowl holders so you will end up buying locking cups anyways. The seed catchers catch some food but not all of it so you will have to sweep up anyways. The only big advantage of the old one seems to be the cool play gym. But you could always get him a separate gym at some stage in the future.
  14. Congratulations! He certainly seems to be settling in well. And its great that he is eating fresh fruit for you too. I wish you many happy years together;)
  15. My 2 love the flute. My daughter plays and they whistle and dance along with her. Are you sure he doesnt do this at any other time? Or is it just with music? Do you think he might be trying to dance?
  16. Hi and welcome to the grey forum. I reckon you must have your grey by now;) How are you two getting along? Siobhan
  17. Thank you! They do get on very well together.... most of the time:P
  18. Hi Ryann Welcome to the forum! How long have you owned them? Have you had any chicks yet? I'm looking forward to hearing more about them;)
  19. Well done on the batteries;) Lets get the priorities right! You're lucky so, I'm with Kaedyn on the not being able to sleep when I'm excited. Always makes for a very miserable Christmas because I'm always so tired:P . I still get excited at Christmas:laugh:
  20. Lovely cage... just a bit empty;) You're not a bit excited are you? Have you got new batteries for the camera? That's the most important thing you need when you bring home your new baby:P Co we will need lots of pictures!
  21. Obviously I was misinformed:unsure:
  22. {Feel-good-0002006E} And rightly so! Your poor Dad!!!
  23. Congratulations on your new baby! October will fly round and you will have your baby home. I can certainly help you with the names as I am an Irish speaker. I have called my grey Liath (leah) which is the Irish word for grey. Some other suggestions are Rógaire (ruggareh) which means rascal Rí (ree) which means king Fiáin (feeawn) which means wild Maorga (mwearga) which means majestic Actual boys names which might be used for a grey are : Coilin - (colin) - Little chieftain Aedan - (Aydan) - born of fire Oisin - (Usheen) son of Fionn MacCumhall Ruaraidh - (Rooree) red king
  24. That is so clever! I often think they can understand what they are saying, but no one other than people with greys would believe us! Terri I think Bella is trying to teach YOU how to say Deem, because for some reason you keep putting an r in it:laugh:
