I plan on doing something as well. The harness not so sure about though with SweetHeart. She might bite my hand off lol. Wish I would have gotten her a little younger, but patience lol. Will have to work on that little by little, maybe one day I can take her out. As for Our little Goffin Cockatoo Casper that we will be getting shortly I plan on starting with him as soon as we get him. He will be about 10 weeks old when we get him.

You can use cinnamon sticks simmer them in a little simmer pot or a little on the stove, just be careful. And some other things you can use instead of the cinnamon sticks are orange peels or lemon peels. And I have just found rosehups. But not sure yet how safe they are, I am doing research lol

Thank you Muse! I never dreamed we would get one this fast that's for sure! But we just fell in love with him! There's no doubt I will continue to work with SweetHeart. I know she will never be that cuddly bird lol. But still love her to death! Hubby wanted this bird, but I'll be the one home with him all the time hehehe. Hope your finger is feeling better! CIGARETTES AND TAMPONS A man walks into a pharmacy and wanders up & down the aisles. The sales girl notices him and asks him if she can help him. He answers, "You see, it's like this, yesterday, I sent my wife to the store to get me a carton of cigarettes, and she came back with a tin of tobacco and some rolling papers; cause it's sooo-ooo--oo- ooo much cheaper. So, I figure if I have to roll my own .......... so does she. (I figure this guy is the one on the milk carton!)

Sorry Perry didn't even know you responded, wasn't ignoring you! I do think it's a good idea to do the things your son did with him. It's familiar and it will help the two of you bond. And trust me I know about it's harder with these Gray's than a horse lol. I'm still working with SweetHeart lol. It's been 4 months now. Baby steps is all I can say. Patience will pay off and you may only see little tiny bits of it here and there, but try your best to notice them cause you will get really aggravated and think there hasn't been any improvements if you don't. Even just you going near him and picking him up or having him talk back to you are all good things! I would just keep up the daily work with him. That is the most important thing! It has to be daily and seems like you are doing that so good for you!

Well being kept in a dark stair well of a basement and when she was out getting flicked in the head probably didn't help her at all. It was very sad. I can't believe actually she had never picked before we got her. Now she has just started picking her chest a bit, but never thought that it could be a molt cause it's not bare just less than there was. We switched her cage and got sweetheart all at the same time, but that was 4 months ago, so don't know. Will just have to take care of the little green witch lol.

I agree if we could see them better it would help. Do you know how many was clipped? Was it just his flight feathers? And I have read and I know it can be true on a Quaker, well at least ours, that a wing clip can last close to a year for some. Just varies. But if you can show us a pic that would help big time!

Yes I'll have to video what Molly does lol. It's something. For the most part she will be quit and than she gets into her talking spree, but than she has her screaming spree lol and just runs back and forth on her perch lol. Can be very annoying lol. I think part of her problem is she didn't know any different like I said this was the bird we got for free cause she came from a woman who abused her and couldn't stand her. So she has issues lol

lol if you don't want screaming than a quaker probably isn't your best choice lol
