Im sorry you felt the need to pass Bobby on to a new home,you really need time & patience with any bird,they are a lifetime commitment.I only hope that he now has found his forever home.

There is no given time to stop the hand feeding,your bird will let you know by refusing the formula,the first one will be the morning feed which it is with most birds,the last to go is always the night feed
A vitamin A deficiency would contribute to dull / weak looking feathers, The richest and most natural source of vitamin A is found in dark leafy greens,spinach,kale,broccoli, peas,collard greens,turnip greens etc..be sure to include some of these in his diet

Yep the vet wrap is fine Di,just keep an eye out just in case Monty starts to chew it I have never searched it Di,im sure if you give you vet a ring they would be able to point you in the right direction

JC has offered you good advice,locate a breeder,local avian vet,bird clubs etc.. Ask as many questions as you can,how are the babies weaned,socialized etc..find out as much as you,good luck
Any female bird is capable of laying infertile eggs when their hormones start raging...It is best to leave the egg/eggs until the female looses interest, continual egg laying can be detrimental to the birds health.If egg laying becomes a problem, a bird can receive an injection from an avian vet to stop the egg laying for a period of time.
It is important for greys to have a good natural calcium source in their diet. Dark leafy greened vegetables have a high calcium level and should be offered alongside a pelleted/ seed based diet.Foods included in this group are..

most of us have travel cages,that would be your safest option.They come with a perch & most come with two bowls for food & water If you can have someone sit with her in the back of your vehicle as it will be a long journey & they can reassure,talk to her.
