6. Wow Congrats, fingers crossed that the egg & any subsequent eggs are fertile It's a shame the camera dosent cover inside the nestbox for you to follow the parents & eggs progress. Try not to disturb mum & dad unless you really have to, as much as it's tempting.Be sure to keep us updated.

Post edited by: lovemyGreys, at: 2008/09/30 23:25
7. Great pictures Caroline,Hows it going having three ?
8. If you are only going to use this kind of carrier very rarely then it's fine, some greys would feel very secure in an enclosed carrier where as others would not.If you are going to be using your carrier on plenty of occasions / trips etc..then i would suggest an appropriate bird carrier so your grey can see the world around him If you go for the cat carrier you can screw a little dowel perch inside ,if you go for a bird carrier they come with perches & feeding bowls.

15. It is very unlikely that a parrot would get fleas, one may jump on the parrot but would not thrive therefore it would jump off or die. They do however get mites which can be mistaken for fleas. It is very important to seek the advice of an avian vet for treatment, you must have some kind of vet able to offer advice ?
16. Hi & Welcome to the forum. We look forward to hearing all about your new baby
17. Congrats Caroline, Try adding soaked pellets to the seed mix and gradually increase the proportion of pellets & decrease the amount of seed over time once you see your baby is eating the pellets.Offer the different foods you feed Keeko & charlie on a daily basis, given time as you know im sure he/she will begin to try new foods. You have the bonus that he/she will see the other two eating various foods/treats so this will help.

23. To get your food to store well you need to blanch it. This is essential with most vegetables. Blanching destroys certain enzymes and bacteria whilst helping to preserve the colour, texture and flavour of the food. It also helps retain vitamins. As for Indian corn ,sorry i have no idea
24. I look forward to hearing all about your newest flock member.Love flo BTW
