  7. Hi Steve,Thats great that Alfie is eating a varied diet.A little of what you have in moderation wont hurt him The others to avoid Steve are.. Carbonated & Caffeinated beverages should be avoided at all costs. Mushrooms have the potential of being toxic. Excessive amounts of Cooked and Raw Onions can be toxic to your bird. Dairy items are not digested in birds. A little cube of cheese as a treat in moderation is fine. Whole cloves of Garlic,a member had a grey die i believe after excessive garlic consumption.

From the website i would say this one, includes birds that have been weaned.. HIGH POTENCY COARSE A Certified Organic Maximim Nutrient Formula for Medium to Large Parrots FOR USE IN BIRDS: • as a year round formula for African greys, large macaws, Queen of Bavaria conures and other medium to large parrots. • that have special needs such as birds that are molting, overweight, underweight, particularly active, housed in a cold climate, recovering from an illness or affected by liver or kidney disease. • that are weaning. Birds should be fed High Potency Formula for at least 6-9 months. • that are breeding.
  16. {Feel-good-0002006E} That's a good one.
  17. Wasting Disease - Proventricular Dilitation Disease (PDD)It thought to be caused by a virus & it is not thought to be highly contagious. The disease can be diagnosed by taking a biopsy of the crop tissue. It was thought untill recently that the area affected was the path between the crop and the stomach, This would tie in with her not being able to digest food & the weight loss.now it has been found that it affects nerve endings to all of the major organs. We are not qualified in avian medicine bit i hope that helped a little, you really need to discuss all the options with your vet
  18. I wouldnt worry to much, she is getting a good diet & is active. Her weight will fluctuate as Dan said. Some greys also have smaller frames than others just like us
  19. Hi Rebecca & Welcome to the forum. The other members have offered good advice We look forward to hearing more from you & Tilly.
  20. Congrats on your new baby,he sounds wonderful.Good luck with the name ,Siobhan has suggested some great ones there for you

  23. Thanks for the update Is there any particular reasons why your having his wings clipped, young babies do crash land at times, make sure he has places to land he will soon find his feet.He is still so young, personally id let him enjoy his flight before rushing out to have him clipped,& yes a clip that is properly carried out will alow him to glide.
  24. Congrats,Morgan seems to have settled very well in such a short time, from the pictures he looks a very confident little guy.Credit to the breeder for raising a lovely bird. Thanks for filling us in on Morgans home coming
