The bone marrow is full of vitamins & iron Be sure to supervise your grey when he is eating a chicken bone as the bone can splinter. Siobhan mine have issues with me feeding the flock eggs

It depends mine are secured in,im sure if you wasnt 100 % convinced on the safety you may be able to make something very similiar if your good with your hands.

i have a few of these for my flock which i purchased from a childrens toy store,i know other members have them too,You can only hope that as they are intended for children that non toxic paint has been used

Hi Carrie, You say your mum developed asthma ? Had she suffered from asthma in the past ? The reason i ask is because their is an illness that is associated with exposure to animal/bird dust called extrinsic allergic alveoltis.I have included a link for you to have a read,but thought it may be worth mentioning it if your partner appears to get worse.. Unfortunately all to often women find out their pregnant & for some obscure reason only known to themselves they send their greys packing :angry: Expecting a baby does not mean that you have to sell your grey,i think they just either don't have the time to dedicate to the bird & it's a poor excuse for selling it or they get completely wrapped up in the new baby & neglect their bird.There is no reason why you cant have both & im sure many women can find a happy medium between a new baby & owning a grey.Owning a grey is a lifelong commitment & is often compared to having kids,they do become part of the family & require your love & attention just as our kids do.Nice to hear you have been doing your research & if you do decide to get a grey that you wont be giving it up in 9 months

If you let Bella out everytime she kicks up a fuss then your going to make a rod for your own back so to speak.You have to leave her be,You are teaching her that if she makes a fuss then your go running to her everytime & that's not what you want.As hard as it is ignore her,she will learn that going nuts does not get the desired result,ie. you letting her out.

Well my greys are in their own room Di so i dont have that problem with them,it's millie my macaw,she follows me everywhere,i have a portable stand upstairs so she can come clean with me & i can see her downstairs when she is on her stands

Try a spray bottle,aim above her head & let the water fall down over her.If you do a search there are many threads on bathing greys on the forum

TAG's can vary in weight from 275-400 grams & CAG's between 400-650 ,your grey may just have a smaller frame, i wouldnt be overly worried Females tend to weigh less than the males.
