I advise letting your vet clip your birds nails unless you know what you are doing.Inside every toenail is a blood supply, or "quick". If cut, this will begin to bleed and can be very painful. Is Alfie a baby ? his nails shouldnt be too long just sharp,make sure he has a variety of different perches this will help file them down.

Yep as Judy says stop worrying, if you have a routine stick to it & Alfie will be fine,plenty of toys in his cage & a good idea to alternate the tv & radio.

Hi Ronda unfortunately not all greys like human cuddles, The word "cuddly" is a matter of your interpretation. There are Grey's who are cuddly, some may sit and watch TV with you and cuddle under your chin. Some other Greys may not like to have that type of one on one contact. I only have one out of my 4 who likes a cuddle ! Have you tried moving her play stand so she can sit around the table with you at meal times ? she does sound as if she is content & happy with you,maybe your expectations are slightly to high ? ( sorry ronda )

Hi Jeff, i own 4 CAG's so unfortunately i am unable to comment on a TAG ,i have a friend who has a TAG who is adorable,as with any species it is possible to have a plucker but the birds diet,environment etc.. plays a big part on the individual bird.Hopefully are TAG owners will contribute more information as Ronda has I wish you the best of luck whatever bird you choose.

Hannah as judy said you will soon find out what your grey likes once you have found a favourite treat use it only for a reward when training along side alot of praise.I use pine nuts,there small & mine adore them.

Pleased to hear that Sassy is in good health . Is Sassy clipped ? Is she bumpimg/crashing into things when she lands ? A good tip if there is two humans in the house & you have the room ( as long as the wings arent clipped ! )is to get Sassy to fly from one person to the other to give her a little fly time & get rid of a little energy. Have a favourite treat handy to encourage her.

Greys unfortunately do pick a human they see as their friend/prefer & there is not an awful lot you can do to change their mind.continue to be the good guy so to speak.Ignore all bad behaviour, dont react in any way,if your grey gets no reaction it may be possible he/she may not continue the bad behaviour.Speak as you approach the cage,reassuring your grey all is ok,Patience & time & im sure you will have some kind of realtionship with your grey even if its not to the same extent as your partners.
