  1. Hi Laura, welcome , A bit of a strange one as you say your grey is unable to pick/pluck his own head, is it possible he has rubbed his head excessively on a perch ? i would advise a vet's visit if the patch is getting bigger just to rule out any skin allergies, please keep us informed

  3. A good tip Bailey we often advise tempting your grey on to pellets by adding a tempting topping

  13. Hi Kitty, I personally cook mine,my greys tend to prefer warm cooked veg, Sweet potatoes, both the yellow and the orange varieties, can be feed raw . I boil mine then mash them. Sweet potatoes are low in calories& high in fibre & carbohydrates.Sweet potatoes also contain the antioxidant beta carotene,They are rich in vitamin B6, C & pottassium, A good low fat source of vitamin E , so all in all a great one to feed our greys
  14. Hi Bailey, moving them is the safest way to ensure their safety.Many of the paints available these days are water based & have low odours ,many dry within 30 minutes,As Dan has said check out whats available if you havent already purchased the paint.

  16. Some members use a harness to take their birds out, you can buy a backpack which is for parrots.I would advise a carrier when travelling in a vehicle

  20. Laurie good luck, i am a smoker ( never near the birds !) but i have no will power at all, i would be intrested in how the hypnotism goes
  21. Thats a new myth to me Marlene , Any grey with a deformatity adapts really well, in general they are born with missing toes etc.. or mummy does sometimes squash them in the nest.
  22. Sounds a positive vet's visit & i agree progress can be made in such a little time,A change of environment & some TLC towards a grey can help immensley.

  24. The doors on most of the cages are narrow ! It does make it an ordeal trying to reach in Sounds as if you done well.Pleased to hear it went well at the vets.Sounds to me you aer making progress with Greyce,well done.
