  1. Thank you everyone for being there for me.
  2. Good news for Tinker Bell. She has what is believed to be an inter ear infection. The vet started her on steriods and antibotics. She even managed to walk down the hall and not fall over. Little wobble still but she did walk. He is keeping her over night but he says he has seen many dogs recover from this so the odds are with her. Also I was wrong on her age she is only 14 years old. If things go well she can come home tomorrow.
  3. Tinker Bell is my 16 year old pekeneese. She was throwing up yesterday and wobble on her feet. This happened after the vet was closed. I gave her something for her upset tummy. But this morning she can hardly walk. She keeps trying to but her feet just wont stay under her and her little head is all cocked to the side. Please let it be something simple like inter ear problems and not a stroke or her liver failing. Not sure I can take putting to sleep anouther pet this soon after Thor. She is going to the vet before I leave for work. Please please don't let it be bad. Sorry for all the misspelled words my new browser does not have a spell checker.<br><br>Post edited by: Tari, at: 2008/05/14 13:56
  4. Sounds like you did the right thing. All but my Joey are clipped for safety reason. Joey is not clipped cause he can't fly.
  5. Sure hope the bird is still alive. Thank you for posting this.

  7. Since you are worried about you Dad's asthma might I suggest an eclectus. My amazon has just as much dust as my TAG. However eclectus have no dust at all. My amazon is a great amazon. He is a Red Lored. He is very sweet. However he is not the norm or so I have been told. Amazons can be moody. But I have not seen this in my Joey. I think each bird is different and how you bring it up has a lot about it just like with any bird. There are also thing you can do too keep the dust down. Daily baths. Air purifiers. Vacum daily, Wash any currents in the room with the bird weekly. Also find a pet shop that has the birds you are interest in and take your Dad see how he does. Good Luck
  8. LOL none of those are full grown.
  9. Koi in a 75 gallon tank? I sure hope that is a temp cause those things get 3 foot long and need 300 gallons each.
  10. LOL clean? It is so easy I have a python and I change 30 percent of the water every week. Every other week I take one of the filters off and rinse. Thats it all done.

  14. Well the other night I got bored and managed to get a couple nice group pictures. After 2 years think I am getting the hang of my camera. lol
  15. WOW I so want a new bird but must resist must must must. lol Your new baby is so very pretty. Does she/he have a name?
  16. Mine Got it today at the zoo.
  17. Fruits and vegetables are great that is fine. You do still want to keep some seed in his diet about 10 to 20 percent. I rarely feed pellets anymore cause of all the additives and most don't really care for them when they have fresh food in the cage. It took me 6 months to get my Que off an all see diet. It might take even longer with an older bird. BTW right now let him have all the seed he wants sounds like he is hungry and a hungry bird rarely tries new things. One of the things that helped is offering foods in different ways. On a stick, masked, diced, cubed, chunked, hot, warm, cold ect.... Also try eating stuff in front of him and make lots of yummy sounds. When he tries to get it play keep away until he is almost standing on his head to get you to let him have some then let him have it. This works well with Que and getting her to try new fruits and such. Good luck
  18. Do you think this well work for Que or just for my smaller birds? Think I have a couple old stained T shirts I can try this with. http://www.cheepparrottoysntips.com/knots1.html

  20. Max the harness comes with a great training video. But yes you need to be able to touch your bird to do it. The video gives tips on how to do that too. However that being said I can not get one on my Que. She goes out in a travel cage and seems to enjoy that.
  21. Nice set up you have there. At the farm we also cover with plastic and have a huge heater that only runs when it gets below 40 in there. I just love budgies and someday hope to have a whole flock of them outside on my deck. lol Thank you so much for sharing.
  22. So cool. Glad your able to get that harness on him so he can have a safe time outdoors.
  23. If you would like it smaller I can size it down just remember the words well be harder to tread then. Hope you like it.
  24. I have several birds also. Only three pet birds and one semi pet. But last summer when I had three extras cause of the baby blues there were days I felt I had way to many. lol So far no viable eggs. But the thoughts of the extra babies I may get this year keep me from getting more. At least it has so far but bird fair next month and those are my great weakness and I still want a white budgie..... Please don't let there be any. But I guess adding anouther untamed budgie to my budgies would not be to much except I well need a bigger cage.<br><br>Post edited by: Tari, at: 2008/05/05 23:36
