1. Karma for you for adopting a hard to handle bird. I don't think I could do it.
2. I don't see why you can't clip her and let it grow out later. I keep all of mine but Joey clipped. Joey can't fly cause of a bad wing so I don't have to clip him. They can even learn to fly later too. Greys are smart birds. lol
3. No one? That really surprised me on the other forums I put this up on I got a lot of responses. lol Guess grey owners don't think about such things.
4. I would not stop snuggling and I would offer him some warm soft foods.
5. I have been thinking about this ever since I seen the ads for the movie. No I have not seen it yet I don't go to the movie theater anymore. But this has been on my mind. Funny but mine is very short. lol I wanted to stick to things I wanted to do. Not have. 1. Go to Yellowstone park is a biggie for me. 2. Visit every state in the US by RV would be fun for me too. 3. This one is kind of a have but sort of not I would love to have a dog I could win lots of obedience competitions with. I think doing something like that would be so much fun. And well thats it. lol Guess Im easy. Whats your list of things you would like to do not own before you die?

Post edited by: Tari, at: 2008/01/24 20:53

sun conure

I once pulled out ever single tail feather on my blue quaker female. When I had to catch her. Being a breeder she is not tame at all. It grew back very quickly.
7. Sure if it is a barn yard bird it well be entered. Ill do this contest next.

Harness

With the avatar harness (only one I would use outdoors) you get a CD that gives you step by step instructions. However you have to be able to at least touch your grey. I can't so no harness for Que. I did using the CD train Topaz to use it but it is just to hard to work with the loops and stuff for me on a small bird. Good luck
9. They did great. But the finch was old to begin with(was a given to me by a freind that had it for several years before I got it) and has passed on. But they seemed to enjoy each others company until then.
10. Don't have a Kenny Ragers here and no I just don't type or spell well.
11. You well need to go to an avain vet and get a full work up on your grey to rule out illness. Many parrots pluck cause they are sick. Good Luck
12. Mine does it but I think its not really digging she is ummmm pleasuring herself. For lack of a better word. lol
13. I think the next one well be barn yard birds. Chickens roaster and ducks? Are ducks barn yard birds? lol
14. Thank you for sharing to bad there is not somewhere else to share other then youcrap.....
15. No if the signs say no dogs I would not take a bird either. And only in pet stores that don't sell parrots cause if their's are sich yours could get sick.
16. Great pictures gratz on you new family member.
17. Birds don't always pluck cause they are unhappy. I have one that plucks just cause it can. It more likely has nothing to do with you. Even bad experinces as a chick can make a bird pluck when they get older. Being force weaned. Illnesses. Ect.... And then once they pluck for a while its habit and has very little to do with you. Take your bird to an avain vet and have a full work up. As soon as possible before its a habit. Use a credit card go to the pawn shop but get the bird to the vet. So until you get to the vet stop beating yourself up over it. Chances are very high it has nothing to do with you.
