You can always hide it in birdy bread or mix it up with some oatmeal, thats what I do and she never knows she gets it.

I have been getting my pecans from Georgia, after all they are the pecan capital of the world but I might have to try those Texas pecans to see if they are any better than the Georgia ones, you can't hardly beat those I order from Sunnyland Farms, real big, meaty and flavorful, they don't get much better than those.

That would be totally awesome to see those birds outside your windows, do you ever see any rose breasted toos and you probably have lorikeets also, though I guess it can get very noisy if you have more than a few show up. Pepper is still just a baby so therefore will nap more than a mature grey but they all kind of keep one eye open at times for they are always on guard.

We won't steer you wrong, they hate any kind of change, my grey will not have anything to do with me if I paint my nails so it doesn't take much.

Thanks Janet for being the guinea pig with this contraption, just as I feared it was too heavy for a grey, guess we will have to wait for Dan's input with his experience with it but our fears have been confirmed so in my opinion no one else should waste their money on this product.

You are gonna find that if he sees you are eating anything he will want some of it and it doesn't surprise me he ate the mexican food for hot stuff doesn't bother them like it does us and greys have no patience whatsoever and gratification has to be immediate.

Yes Maverick is still settling in, remember it takes time for them to start to feel comfortable in new surroundings, its all new to him and he is wanting out to be with you for he feels safer but give him some time and he will start playing with his toys.

At least he is trying it, sometimes it seems as if they only tear it up and don't actually eat any of it but a lot of what is offered to a bird ends up falling to the floor but he is at least tasting it, keep offering him different foods so he has a wide variety.

Pepper is precious and she does look well cared for and it seems she is adjusting to her new forever home very nicely, she must have been well socialized when she was young, what an amazing journey you all are going to have with her.

Josey has done that also and it does look funny, kind of a yawn and stretching her neck out then she usually does it a few more times before she stops, she hardly does it anymore but I know exactly what you are talking about, not to worry.

Learn to live with it, if you are a bird person then you won't mind a little poo here and there, the others gave you some good ideas as to how to clean it up.

Some birds react to music different from others, some might have more sensitive hearing but try changing the type of music to see if you get the same results, maybe she might like country or rock better. On that same note my tiel shakes her head when I speak to her if I have her close to my face, farther away and it doesn't bother her.

He is just cute as a button and yes it will take him some time to settle into his new home but it looks like it is going well, keep us informed.

Dave is right, my sun conure is small compared to other suns I have seen and she is healthy enough, she is just a smaller boned one, you cannot go by the actual weight unless you had been weighing him all along so don't freak out over probably nothing.
