Thats a good photo Lidia, of your grey in the cabinet, I hadn't thought of putting Josey in one but all of mine are full of stuff so I would have to clean one out. :laugh:

We would not do that to you Dan, we all love a good joke but we have given you our best advice as we know it and you will be prepared, more than most. I think it is admirable of you to prepare yourself sufficiently to give your little one the best possible start in life. Believe it or not we have had a couple of people who should not have been allowed to own a grey, they didn't research it properly and did not have a clue as to what they should be doing, they just wanted the bird because it will more than likely talk. I feel honored to be here with this family of grey owners and I think the rest of us share the same thoughts on this subject.

So she didn't hesitate to play with the jolly ball, thats great. Josey used to take to new toys right off but now is a little more leary but not for long if she wants to play with it, if she doesn't she won't touch it.

Topaz, nice name for the quaker, suits it well.

Sometimes when I get started on a song it stays with you and you keep hearing it in your head, I like that song too but I didn't recognize the name of it until I heard it on the link, thanks for sharing it with us.

Could be a molt but I think it is still a little too early. I have not had the biting thing with Josey, so far she has been very sweet to me but I know I will have to deal with it sooner or later.

Well I don't know about that, but I saw it at the bird fair we had last summer before I brought Josey home and I got it. She loves it, I open the highest door on the front and she comes out and goes wherever she wants and back inside if she needs a drink or snack. I have to put paper on the floor under the front door because she likes to sit there and vocalize. She also gets up on the toy hook, the highest place and slides down, I crack up when she does that.:woohoo:

Tari, is that your dog under the stand? Does he stay there when the grey is out on it, hope it doesn't lay down in poop, but that is so funny. Thanks for the pics, it gives some of us an idea of what we can do for our birds.

The time will come rest assured, I remember waiting for mine and now I enjoy her immensely, don't know what I did without her. You must have come on the forum fairly recently, I have been out for a few days on vacation and I don't recall seeing you before I left. If I haven't said it already, welcome to our family, we all love our greys and want to help each other and maybe get to know each other better because of them. This is a great bunch of people here, you won't find anything like it anywhere on the net. I am proud to belong to this family and I know you will enjoy it too.

That one is a lovely shade of blue, with a touch of aqua, I like this one better than the green ones. They are so precious when babies.

Yes they can startle at the most peculiar things but you just have to tell them it is ok and go on, eventually they get more used to it.

I think you made the right decision, Dayo is better than Ditto, but whatever the name you will still love him and you bring him home when? I know the wait can be unbearable but it will be here soon and I look forward to hearing the stories and seeing photos of Dayo.

Yes Beccy they can be like that but show him it is good to eat and he will warm up to it. It is so funny to see them scared of harmless things but that is what makes them greys.:laugh:

Very good advice Lidia, I wouldn't worry unless she keeps favoring it, Blidner, but they keep us guessing don't they.

Right on Fairy, I couldn't have said it better, these men and women deserve no less than our respect and admiration for the job they are doing. So we remember them tomorrow for it is the 4th of July but don't forget them the rest of the year, some will give their lives for the cause and we should never forget it. Very nice graphic, Deborah, you continue to amaze me.

They need to know that the vet is not the only place they get to go to when they get into the cage, you don't want only bad experiences with the travel cage.
