Its never easy losing a beloved pet but sometimes they are going to a better place so keep that in mind to help ease the pain.

I don't believe that, I didn't hand feed mine and she is bonded to me nicely, I would not put too much faith in that breeder, I think he just wanted to put the job off on someone else, like you for instance. But I am happy things are going well for you and your gorgeous baby.

Well I am glad to hear you are doing allright with it, but you admit it is not the best thing to do. That being said, I am proud of you for knowing nothing and going ahead anyway. I'm sure you used your common sense to help you thru the process. But maybe you have helped someone else who reads this and decides to let the experienced handle feeding. In my opinion if you don't have experience with hand feeding birds then it is best to leave it to the people who do that all the time. There are things you have to be careful of and such.

Yes please continue it is very interesting to watch the changes in them from week to week. Michael if crying gets you what you want then go for it, it has worked for me, not to get my grey but for other things.:lol:

Thats ok, it gives us a better view of that pink nail. All Josey's nails are black but with one pink one you can identify it if it was with a bunch of greys. Thanks for posting that pic, he looks like he is enjoying his meal.:cheer:

Yeah I feel more like 90 today myself and I haven't done anything, just lazing around with a summer cold coming on I can feel it.

CD is in the new york area maybe he can help you find where you can get one reasonable, if anyone would know it would be him.

I don't know where you are located, but search the internet for breeders or even a local bird club who may be able to put you in touch with an avordable grey. I paid $900 for mine and I am sure you can find one around that price range. Depending on where you are one of the members here may know of some.
