  1. Those are some wonderful pictures, Geoff, thanks for sharing them with us. He sounds like a wonderful grey and you two have such fun together, it warms the heart to hear these things, I am so happy for you and keep up the good work.
  2. Then I guess I am already in trouble, I have yet to try it on Josey, I don't know why I have put if off, not enough time I guess. What with working a full time job and then coming home and starting the second shift and getting on here, that leaves little time for anything else. But I will get it done one way or the other.
  3. My sentiments exactly, if it is as hot as it is here, cool is way better than lukewarm.
  4. Sounds like a good idea, Dan, I should have some of those targets around, my hubby is a hunter, will make a game out of it. Bombs away and see if it hit the bulls eye.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
  5. And Talon should know, she has 8 tattoos, I only have one but that is going to change before summer is over.
  6. Dang skippy we do, its fun watching them grow.:cheer:
  7. And that Beccy is the real reason we have our pets, to get us out of bed in the mornings. B)

    Treat Question

Well that is odd isn't it, let me see what I can find out and maybe we can figure some way to get you some of those treats.
  9. Not a chance, she would not be still enough or quiet for that. She would probably laugh like me, she does that well.
  10. Thanks Tari for sharing that with us, my how they have grown, so sweet looking and cute, makes you want to scoop them up and cuddle them ever so slightly.
  11. I don't watch a lot of TV anymore, can't you tell, I am always here, but the TV is on in the room where the birds are and my hubby watches a lot of hunting and outdoor shows. She hears a lot of animal sounds but I haven't heard any of them come out of her beak yet, I am surprised she hasn't done the turkey call, my hubby practices that a lot with mouth calls.
  12. I have always been a cat person, I have had them all my life, from day one, I still have two. I have always liked birds and had a couple of parakeets when I was a child and I love to watch the wild birds come to my bird feeder and especially the hummingbirds, I feed them every year. But a few years ago I decided I wanted something else besides another cat, so I searched on the internet for information on different parrots and decided to get me a sun conure. A nice first bird and a real joy to have around. She loves to ride around all day on my shoulder and gets into whatever I am doing, sometimes a real clown. Then one is not enough and I searched the net again and came up with a grey, not as colorful as a sun conure but a beauty in its own right. I made a wise choice and the breeder I got my sun from could get her hands on a baby grey for me so I was committed and I haven't looked back since. She is a joy to have and I don't regret for a minute that I made a good choice. My two kids are grown and long gone and I guess parrots are like having children around again, someone to need you to feed them and play with them. There is noise in the house again and they need me as much as I need them, they can be a real comfort when you are down and need a lift. I really love the little guys now and would love to have more but I would not want to risk the quality time I spend with the two I have. Besides I only have two shoulders so there is nowhere for another one to sit. That is my story and I am sticking to it. :)
  13. Thats neat Tari, what a wonderful idea, makes it so much easier to take them with you around the house. Thanks for sharing that with us, I'll bet there will be some more of them made because you posted a photo of it here for others to see.

    Treat Question

Beccy, why don't you google it and see what comes up, there should be some websites that carry it, it is a widely available bird item.
  15. Very nice photos, Tari, and your little one certainly enjoys it too, I may have to break down and get one for Josey and maybe one for Sunny, can't leave her out.
  16. Very nice Kim, lovely hummingbird, I just love those little buggers, thanks for sharing that, makes me want to go out right now and get it but the shops are closed, darn.
  17. Well Kim, you are so kind in return, its people like you that make this world so much better for just being alive. And the thought of Dan crying means you mean so much to him, he couldn't stand the thought of losing you. Some people think a man that cries is weak but I will take a weak one any day, you are a lucky woman and not just because you survived the cancer but from the love and support of your family and friends. My tattoo is not symbolic of anything in particular but I love roses so I chose a red rose and I am thinking of getting a hummingbird because I just like them. Be sure to post a picture of the finished product and we all can bask in its beauty.
  18. Well hello, Geoff, long time no see, I know how work can be and sometimes it can't be helped. Glad to hear it is going well for you and Mirek. Good bonding in place and has a thing for raspberries, he can make a mess of them too. LOL Don't let work keep you from coming here and keeping us informed, all work and no play makes Geoff a dull boy. Pardon the crude humor, I am not in top form tonight. Please try to post more pictures, cannot have too many of those.
  19. Ginger, when you make a post from a submit post from a full reply page there is a box that is automatically checked to inform you by your email address that a new post has been added to the one you previously posted in. You need to take that check out of the box to stop those emails, I know it is annoying and I always have a lot of them to delete every day.
  20. Very nice Kim, I like the symbols and the colors. You should celebrate, you deserve to for what you have been thru and please update us when it is complete, it should be an awesome sight to behold.
  21. Well everyone knows the way to a birds heart is thru the stomach or should I say the crop. :P
  22. Better yet, save your money and just read all the threads here and you will know more than anyone else, we have a lot of good information here on this site and all you have to do is read, read and read.
  23. Does your grey look to see where their poop lands after dropping it, Josey does and it is so funny to watch. She will squat slightly and let it rip and then turn her head to the side and watch where it lands, like look what I just did. I cannot help but laugh.
  24. I don't get into the big ones, I like to keep them small, more cute that way.
