  1. Thanks guys, I knew I could count on you for a lift.
  2. Why don't you make me laugh for a change, I need one today.
  3. I'm sticking with the fun and cute.:cheer:
  4. I don't have a busy house and we don't have a lot of different people in the house so she does not get to meet a lot of people, but I do take her to work occasionally.
  5. The shaking, quivering of the abdomen is common among greys, they just do it. Your grey is acting territorial about his cage, maybe you need to allow him to come out on his own or entice him out with some sort of treat, or like someone else mentioned you may have to just get him out, bite or no bite so he knows who is boss. My Josey is easy and I can get her out, no problem, she is a very sweet bird.
  6. Welcome Julieinva, and welcome to our family, and congrats on your new grey and I commend you for taking this particular one since no one else seemed to want it. I'm sure with your love and devotion he will make a fine companion. Glad to hear you did your research before buying the grey, some people don't and that is why some end up in the rescues. Where in Virginia are you located, I am from VA too, in Eagle Rock? Maybe we are neighbors.
  7. I only have one grey, a CAG, and her name is Josey. I also have a sun conure named Sunny, unsexed but I refer to her as a she. I only have 2 shoulders so 2 birds is my limit. Besides they say if you get 2 greys they will bond with each other and not to the human.
  8. Yes we do Dan, we love pictures, I need to get more pictures on, everyone else has lots and I don't.
  9. Try soaking the pellets in some kind of juice to get her to eat them. And try putting pellets in with the seeds and gradually increase the pellets and decrease the seeds to try to get her off a mainly seed diet. This will take months or maybe longer but in the long run it will be worth it.
  10. Well I guess we know your wife's name is Charlene now don't we. I want to get another one, maybe of a hummingbird.
  11. Wow you two sound so smart and technical and I am in awe of your intelligence so my answer will sound corny. I love them because they are beautiful and fun to have around, and if they talk that is a plus. I have always been a cat person but in the last few years I have taken an avid interest in parrots, wished I had found them sooner. I have encountered people who tell me why did I want a pet that makes such a mess and is loud sometimes but it is a matter of personal preference and I just shrug it off and go on loving my Josey and Sunny.
  12. That was a great story, but I am not comfortable with allowing my grey to "free flight", I am not capable of training her to come back, would be afraid of losing her.

    Treat Question

Those Nutriberries are good stuff, offer them every day.
  14. Welcome, Tatifish, to the forum family of grey owners, I am glad you joined and congrats on your grey. You are finding out what wonderful creatures they are and I look forward to hearing more about Yago. What an unusual name, how did you come up with that or was that the original name?
  15. Way to go FairY, very good choice of song for the occasion.
  16. Thats wonderful, Ice, you have a creative fiance there who cares a great deal for you, way to go, can't wait to see the photos of Roxy.
  17. You are truly blessed, Stephanie, you have a wonderful family of support for you in your time of need, may we all be so lucky. :)
  18. Thats great news, Stephanie, glad to hear Frankie is home and is happy and well, your baby is home. Thanks for updating us on this situation.
  19. Very nice photo, Connie, and good looking greys too. Thanks for sharing that with us.
  20. Welcome, Jesus, to our family of grey owners, and how long have you had the pair of greys? Interested in breeding greys are you and like Tari said it is no money to be made just the joy of feeding little ones and watching them grow and then leave the nest for new homes. Maybe you can post a picture of your pair of greys, we love to look at each other greys.

    Treat Question

Well I know what junk food has done for me and I don't want that to happen to Josey, so if she never has a potato chip then she does not know what they taste like so therefore she does not know what she is missing. Maybe that makes me a mean mommy, so be it.
  22. Very nice photos Tricky, they will look great in the video.

    Avian Fast Food

A potato chip, corn chip, nor a french fry has touched the tongue of my Josey, I do not eat them in front of her, I don't want her to be begging for those kinds of foods. I feel guilty if she has a little cheese.
  24. So you are making the video, we are providing the photos, so you pick the song, I trust you to pick the most appropriate one for the mood you want to achieve, so there, that is my opinion, and I know it accounts for a lot.{Love-000200D8}
