  1. Thanks Tracy for another good one. {Feel-good-0002006E}
  2. Ten How many hands do you have?:whistle: :silly:
  3. They can be very entertaining can't they and they are intelligent and use words in context. Unfortunately they do copy sounds we would rather they didn't but you can't pick and choose what they say, but it is funny to hear those sounds coming from their beak. Glad you are enjoying your Fawkes for she is the most precious thing you have isn't she? B)
  4. Tracy is right, do stop in and keep us informed of Tiny's progress and he/she sounds like a living doll of a grey, how lucky are you. And congrats with the potty training, you are lucky indeed to have one so cooperating and continue to offer new foods, a lot of the foods you eat are suitable for your grey.
  5. Thanks Tracy for that one, a good one I hadn't heard before so I am LMAO at work but no one is here to see me rolling around on the floor with tears of laughter streaming down my cheeks, opps what cheeks:blush: {Feel-good-0002006E}
  6. Yes please Rtbird introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little about you and your grey.
  7. I am hoping along with you Rae but the key is to keep her busy so she does not have time to pluck, please check back in often with reports on Angie.
  8. I know my Josey starts backing up and you see the rear end lower a little and that is the signal that a poop is coming, if I have her on me I can get her to the trashcan before she lets it go. You need to use a word to associate with the poop so you can use that to signal when she is ready to go and if she does go where you want her to then praise her lavishly.
  9. Now I am totally confused!!! {Emotions-000200C1}
  10. I am 5 feet 4 inches. What is your favorite red flower?
  11. The Splendid is a very colorful bird, very pretty, and Lisa you really want a toucanet, wow how unusual!!!
  12. I bet you know a lot of them don't you Ronda, why don't you share some of them with us, the blonde jokes that is or any others you can put on the forum, how about it!!:laugh: B)
  13. Gosh Ronda I thought you were a computer whiz and you didn't know what IMO stands for, LMAO & LOL girl, get with the program.:laugh: :blink: :woohoo: B) but you sure do have MBS big time.
  14. Not that I minded her snuggling up to me but I did not like seeing her feeling down and she was a little grouchy also, I think it was just a gloomy day but you bet I am going to keep an eye on her. Thanks guys.
  15. I was a little concerned about Sunny, my sun conure yesterday as she was not really her usual self, she was a little clingy, sitting on my shoulder and keeping herself close to me as if for the warmth of my body. It was a cold day, about 40 degrees F for a high but it was warm inside the house, we keep the thermostat at the same setting. But this morning she was back to her usual self although she seemed to be ravenously hungry, she laped up her oatmeal with gusto, she must not have ate a lot yesterday with feeling under the weather. My guess is she was feeling a little depressed, is that possible with a sun conure, but I was sure glad she was more perky today, I was considering taking her to see the avain vet and I won't rule it out entirely, I will watch and see. Have any of you ever had one of your birds display such behavior before? I hope I never see her like that again for it worried me, she is as precious to me as Josey is and I love them both dearly.:unsure:
  16. A great big house with a huge bird room. Same question If money were no object what would be the most expensive thing you would buy?
  17. I've noticed that too Terri, my Josey is no snuggle bunny either but she is more receptive to a little in the evenings before bedtime and I get in a little then when I can, I take what I can get.
  18. The cage is fine for now but I would get a bigger one soon, he needs the room to be able to open up his wings and flap without touching the sides of the cage. Some of the other members will have more ideas whether you are feeding him ok, I don't have any experience with hand feeding a grey. I am guessing that he is at least 12 weeks old in comparing him to the photos Dan posted and he is fully feathered. I wouldn't clip his wings yet either, let him learn to fly so he can learn to land properly, that is essential to their well being and then later if you do want to clip you can. About the wings, does he hold them like that all the time? You are right they usually have them tucked in tighter to the body than what it shows in the photo. Maybe some of the other members will have more insight into that and will share their opinions. It sounds like he is a happy little fella and it is going well for you and him so far, keep us informed of his progress.
  19. I don't know how you do it Tari, have those babies in your house interacting with them every day and be able to let go of them especially after them talking to you and saying I love you, my heart would melt and I would have to keep them.
  20. I'm with Dan and Berna, a vet check is a must, you don't want to take any chances.
  21. Sounds like an excellent idea, Gloria, gives them food and something to keep them busy, thanks for sharing that idea with us.
  22. Yeah you finally got the photos posted, I know what a time you were having last night, nice shots of Fawkes, thanks for sharing them with us and hope you get over the flu soon.
  23. Oh yeah, buttons are a popular attraction and anything else they can find to grab ahold of.
  24. Awww how cute is that, Terri, snuggling up for a big smoozey kiss with Bella, thanks for sharing that with us.
