  1. Hello The EXraven and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you. Do you have a grey, I am assuming so since that is one in your avatar, what is it's name and what sex is it? You didn't give us much info so I am asking a few questions to get to know you better. Do you have any other birds or pets? Take a few minutes to read thru many of the threads for lots of useful information and ask questions if you have any. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you do have a grey and would like to share a few pictures of with us we would love to see it.
  2. So you took a lemon and made lemonade right Janice and it is the perfect thing for you to do and by what Ronda says about you, you do it very well. Thank you so much for being a part of our forum.
  3. Thanks Tracy for the link, I had some recipes at home I was going to share, may not need to now. B)
  4. If at all possible you should go see them in person, thats how you will really get the best look at them to appreciate them fully.
  5. Pms won't accomplish anything unless they log in to read them but it is worth a try, thats too bad that some of the members join and then fizzle out for whatever reason, hope it isn't because of their health, hope they are ok.
  6. Now thats just too much poop for me but when it is running down your back it is on the shirt I am wearing and not directly on my skin: laugh: :woohoo: :silly:
  7. Scrape cuttlebone onto wet foods, thanks Berna for that tip, and thanks for pointing out that the egg shells do carry bacteria on them, that is a concern nowadays.
  8. This is so wonderful of you to do this and so sad that she had to endure such conditions but she is in seventh heaven now and doing nicely, she will be forever grateful.
  9. Its just a matter of personal preference, I like the red factor greys but I like my all gray one with the red tail too.
  10. You have quite a flock there and very pretty too, thanks for sharing a photo of them with us. I know you are enjoying your macaws and amazon but you are in for a treat with the grey. Glad that you could give Chad a good home and I am sure he will settle in nicely with your experience.
  11. Some of the recipes for birdie bread recommend putting the egg shells in after smashing them into fine pieces, a good source of calcium.
  12. Yes Kaedyn keep an eye on it and be sure to keep us updated on any changes. Siobha9, I am kinda with you on this one, who wants to rub poop between their fingers, its bad enough that I have it running down my back.
  13. Janice I just love the picture of the Tag in your avatar, that is so cute and no you wouldn't want to be confused with that other breeder, its just too bad Ronda didn't find you first, but then she wouldn't have Sweetheart would she.
  14. Thanks Tari, but I will have to wait till I get home to listen, no sound on my computer at work, bummer:(
  15. LMAO girls, thanks for the jokes!! {Feel-good-0002006E}
  16. Hello Lisa and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Toto, that name must have come from the Wizard of Oz movie, cute. Sounds like you do have a lovely grey and lucky you Toto loves to cuddle, that is something not all of us can boast about. You must have a special relationship with her but then we all do with our own greys. How fortunate to be given a ringneck, I think they are beautiful birds and I am sure it will be a nice addition to your household. Take a few minutes and read thru some of the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you an answer and help you in any way we can. Please do share some pictures with us we would love to see Toto and the ringneck too.
  17. Thanks Berna for that tidbit, however gross it is, but I did not know that, learn something new all the time.
  18. Yep, thats my next bird all right, if you haven't heard anything negative then they have to be for real and you should know Berna:P B)
  19. Its only 10:40, its not time for bed yet? I am just getting started. I wish I had some of that snow you had today, just cold and breezy here.
  20. Exactly, when it happens at a very young age they adapt very well and really never know what they are missing and live normal lives.
  21. I am so jealous of the fact that you have a vet within walking distance of you, I live out in the country and nothing is within walking distance, you have to drive everywhere. Yes please keep us updated, you have us worrying and wondering about her now but then that is what family is for, right:P
  22. How did I miss that picture of Beaker, I just saw him and he is adorable, I want him, can I have him, he is so cute, I must get one now, can't let you have all the fun.
  23. It is missing the white part, might be time for a vet visit, there should be white parts to the green.
  24. Hello Greenwinged and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your grey. You have a grey and what other birds do you have? What is your grey's name and age and how long have you had him/her? Lots of questions but we just want to get to know you a little better. Take a few minutes to read thru many of the threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. We would love to see some pictures of your grey when you get the chance.
  25. Not that it won't ever happen here but earthquakes are something that I have never experienced here in VA and glad of it too and tornados are another that in all likelihood won't happen here because of the mountains.
