Well it seems that she should have grown them out by now, are you sure she isn't pulling them out or biting them off, I would check to see if new ones are coming in, if not maybe you should seek out an avian vet for professional help.

Well I was able to handle her but she was grumpy for sure and clinging to me like a piece of tape but today she is her old self again:kiss: my little sweetiepie.

Sometimes they choose us and not vice versa and I am sure she may have sensed that you needed her as much as she needed you. She sounds like a very well adjusted grey and will be talking soon as she is displaying all the classic indications of future speech. Yes they do look a little ragged and when you say clipped (more like mowed down) I assume you mean it was a severe clip, maybe more than should have been taken off, it looks like it. Thats probably why she drops like a rock, hopefully her flights are coming in and she will soon be able to fly and land with ease.

But you found out that she is already 5, her hatchdate was yesterday and yes we want to hear stories, we love stories.

Thanks Berna that was probably it, was cloudy and cold all day so she was a little cranky but if it happens again off to the vet we will go.

That is so wonderful that Diego has bonded with both of you, how fortunate you are as most of us have one that is bonded with just one, including me. Josey just tolerates my hubby, she won't let him pick her up but she will accept a neck scratch sometimes. You seem to have hit it lucky on all counts, bonded with both of you, enjoys showers and follows you around the house and whistles theme songs, no wonder you love him so much. Usually Josey only has to see me eating something and she wants some, you need to offer your food more often Ronda, she will love it. Josey was chowing down on spaghetti this evening, yum, yum, beak smacking good!!

Terri all greys quiver their chest feathers from time to time, nothing is wrong and it is normal for them to do this, he is not cold. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and your grey.

Josey will talk in her cage and out of it, she sits on her boing inside the cage and talks or outside on the door and jabbers away. She doesn't talk much anywhere else and is usually quiet on trips but the last one she was on she did talk a little maybe this time she will do more as she gets more used to going.

You get a new set of your OWN teeth but they turn out to be black as coal, jeez what a smile:woohoo: :laugh: I wish I had a good looking male housekeeper who kept my home spotless.
