  1. Thanks Tiffani for sharing that with us, she was plain silly wasn't she, and too cute.
  2. Yes Tiffani you are a worry wart but since he had been to the vet recently and there had been a change in his routine I tthink that accounts for the change in his behavior, you know how they dislike any kind of change.
  3. Thanks Sandra for sharing that little story with us about Merlin and the mirror. I have never tried putting a mirror in Josey's cage to see what she would do, but I see others have tried it. So there may be a new arrival at the monkey house, well be sure to keep us informed, we want to know.
  4. It does sound like it is a reaction to the changes in his routine, they don't take to change easily, they prefer things to remain the same. And since he is eating normally and his poops are the same then that is what I would chalk it up to be, especially since he has been checked out by the vet just recently.
  5. Heather, I agree with Ronda, I love the first cage but that second one is not for greys.
  6. Thanks Greenwinged for posting the link for breeders.

    ETA

    Time and patience is one thing we preach here, it works wonders.
  8. That works for all of us, Devin, they are more inclined to try it if they see us eat it, must be good if we will eat it and thanks for the tip.
  9. Hello Devin and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Coco. You have obviously done quite a job with Coco and you have built a good relationship together and that is something to be proud of especially at such a young age. At my age 21 is young believe me.:laugh: Not that you need it but take a few moments to read thru some of the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. Thanks for sharing some pictures of Coco with us.
  10. We all have our moments when we can't seem to get anything right but you got the pic to post and Bandit is a good looking macaw, thanks for sharing it with us.
  11. Awww Happy Birthday, Klaus and I hope you enjoyed your treat and you had a lovely day and so many more. {Love-000200C2}
  12. Yep thats snuggling all right Terri, Josey does a little but not a lot, but I am grateful for whatever she gives me. And like Tiffani, my conure is definitely a snuggler as she is snuggling up into my neck as I type at this moment.
  13. You got two winners there Ronda, thanks for sharing them with us, now I just have to get myself up off the floor because I am rolling around in laughter:laugh: Pulling on the lizard's winkie:laugh: You are going to be very, very disappointed:laugh: {Feel-good-0002006E}

    Sleepy

    Yes Ronda gave you some sound advice, she probably didn't get a good night's sleep the first night after bringing her home and they do nap during the day. Let us know how she continues to adjust to her new home. Thanks Ronda for posting the link to a site with some good insight into bringing home the grey baby.
  15. Thanks jdr for sharing a picture of Coco, very nice looking grey with the usual stance of perching on one leg while resting the other.
  16. Oh no, my children won't inherit my grey, neither wants her, they can't handle a bird bigger than a budgie, LOL, so they have instructions to contact the right people in the case of Josey outliving me.
  17. Hello Corrigaan and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your quest for a grey. I hope you do find a good breeder soon, don't know where you are from but someone might know of one if we knew where you are located. You should read up as much as you can about the grey and one of the best resources is right here so take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information. Please if you have any questions just ask and we will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. What kind of conure did you have? I also have a conure, a sun conure and she is a delight to have and I am sure yours was too, so sorry to hear of his passing but unfortunately death is a part of life and so it goes.
  18. You better not let Kim see that or you will be in deep do do:laugh:
  19. Congrats Hanna, so happy for you and so glad it is you and not me:laugh: but this is a wonderful time in your life and your life will never be the same but in a good way of course. Hope you have an easy time and a happy and healthy baby.
  20. Thats a sweet story Christina and that is how it works sometimes, they pick us and not the other way around, thanks for sharing that with us.
  21. Don't mess with me Dan, I will have to make a trip to Cal to meet you and then the gloves are off for sure.:laugh: :laugh: Siobhan, I will add you to my list of members to meet and that list is getting longer as we type.
  22. siobha9 wrote: My sentiments exactly:laugh: He will forgive you just give him a little space right now and glad to hear that Dorian got a clean bill of health but sad that the bill was:woohoo:
  23. Thanks Siobhan for sharing that pic with us, I understand completely as Josey does not care for it either.:blink:

    Eggs

    Terri, have you tried cooking a little oatmeal and giving that to her for breakfast, Josey loves hers with a little red palm oil and some baby food in it. I agree with the rest, an egg a day is too much, even half every day is too much, you do need to cut back or find a substitute to offer.
