  2. How true and funny as heck:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
  3. Maybe this summer you will if you sell your condo and move but it sure is nice to be able to go out in the garden and pick something fresh for dinner.

  5. Thats what they call the pot calling the kettle black:blink: Its only a problem if you make it one.
  6. I agree, a picture would help a lot to see what you are talking about.
  7. Thats right Kristin, no one has baked potato with lasagna, thats too much starch. I'm with you, some garlic bread and the salad and I am set, yum, yum, now I'm hungry.:ohmy:
  8. Well take care of the bad back old man and get some rest.
  9. If it has been a while since you last had Coco to a vet it may be a good idea to take him, I don't think he should have a red circle around his eyes. About the stepping up, let him come out of his cage first and then try the step up, they usually are more willing to do that when they are out of the cage. And when you pull your hand away when he comes at you with his beak you are providing him with some entertainment and he will continue to do that.
  10. Hello Chris and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Emmitt. So you finally "bit the bullet" so to speak but so happy you did, it seems like a lot of us have wanted one for a long time before actually getting it. Now that you have your grey you wonder how come you waited so long:P We see a few of those greys where someone clipped the wings before they learned to fly properly and it will take a while before they grow out again enough for him to be able to fly, but it is important that he do so. They have to be able to land properly and they can't learn that if they can't fly. Take a few moments and read some of the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions if you have any. We will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Emmitt you would like to share with us we would love to see him.
  11. OMG Beth, she only clipped one wing, I can't believe that, any idiot knows you have to clip both wings equally or they won't glide properly, it leaves them imbalanced. And then when cutting her talons Lila bled all over the place, thats just not right, if done properly there should not have been any blood shed, this woman sounds like she must be really stupid or just does not give a crap, you poor dear, no wonder you are so upset, I would be too.:angry:
  12. You are not old Ronda, believe me, I should know for I am the old one here, and thanks Tiffani and Ronda for the warning about the drinks, you just never know anymore what some people will do, it is really scary to think about. It is raining here too today, very dreary looking and they are also calling for a chance of thunderstorms too, now it is 10:53 am on a Tuesday morning:blink:
  13. I do love it, thanks Rae for a very good laugh this morning:laugh: {Feel-good-0002006E}
  14. Beth, I am sorry to hear the home vet visit did not go well, she could have cut you some slack on the bill since she didn't have to come very far, but her yelling at you was unprofessional to say the least. I agree with you, I wouldn't use her again either. You are doing the best you know how and she should have tried to give you some solutions instead of berating you for what she thought you were doing wrong. I agree, open her cage door and allow her to come out on her own, it does take a while for them to build trust but she will. Thanks for updating us on this home visit, I was just wondering how it went, it certainly is not worth it if that is the service you get.
  15. Spoiled, you reckon, he will enjoy himself I am sure, I am so glad to hear you are taking him along even though 16 hours is a long trip, he will be with you and that is what counts, I think he will do fine. I know you will let us know how it goes when you get back, Kat.
  16. That is just too much Toni, thanks for the laugh this morning:laugh: {Communicate-000200D5}
  17. I'm sure she will figure it out soon, Kristine, she is a smart cookie:) Yeah you just continue to bring all your little stories of the adventures of Midnight to us here, we understand completely.
  18. Congrats to Orla for her success on the lasagna, she can't go wrong following one of Joe's recipes.
  19. I would definitely put water in the bowl and maybe some pellets for a midnight snack but it is not necessary to put any toys, he will be sleeping in it not playing. But put some in for when you travel with him, it will give him something to do while he is traveling.
  20. Now just what is he saying here Ronda, but maybe I shouldn't ask:blush: I think I already know:whistle:
  21. They really are very cute and adorable Tari, thanks for sharing them with us.
  22. Oh yeah Ronda, they will benefit from that garden too, Jessie will have to throw in a little more for the birds. My hubby always does a big garden and we have apples, cherries, blueberries, raspberries and grapes.
  23. It would depend on what you wanted to talk about and the things that bother most women would not be suitable to air on an open forum. But for any of the women out there that do want to discuss something with another woman, I am always here, all you have to do is pm or email me and I will keep your confidences to myself.
  24. Well there is where I have you on that, Josey is clipped so she can't fly out of the tub. Maybe you are doing too much cuddling then if you do that with her all the time, try the suggestions that Tiffani and Muse gave you and see what happens.
  25. Josey does not like a shower either or a misting, but she gets it anyways, I put her in the tub and mist her where she can't get away from me. She does not protest too much, she doesn't like it but does not try to bite me. I am puzzled on the chirping, maybe she just needs more cuddling and reassurance.:huh:
