So over the weekend I traveled to Mineral Wells, WV to visit my son and his family, about a 4+ hour trip and I took both Josey and Sunny with me. I don't usually take Sunny with me but my daughter could not keep her for me so along with me she went.:dry: Now Josey is getting old hat at riding with us, she sits on her perch, I position it low in the travel cage, and plays and even started chatting some on the ride. But poor Sunny wouldn't sit on her perch, she clung to the side of her travel cage the whole time, she was fine after she got to our destination but the ride was a little stressful for her I think.:huh: Poor baby, hopefully I can leave her at home the next time for my daughter to take care of but Josey will definately be going, she rides well and enjoys being with me going places and I loved having her along.

Well Berna I think a few people have tried to kick me off but they had no luck, I am like a bad penny, I keep turning up:laugh: you couldn't get rid of me if you wanted to, I am here to stay for now.:whistle: Dan I take that from Berna because I know she is just kidding but you better be the one to watch out for me, I don't take too kindly to someone egging me on.:angry: We used to have two beagles and a black lab and the two beagles would start a fight with another dog and then the lab would step in and take over and they would sit back and watch the action, so you better straighten up and fly right.:laugh: Now back to the business at hand, Corrigan I am so proud of you for doing what every potential grey owner should do, read and research all they can before taking that final plunge, we would have fewer greys in rescues if more would do that. Ask as many questions as you want, we don't judge anyone on the number of questions or how trivial or silly sounding they may seem, you can't find the answers if you don't ask.

Of course Do you have nightmares?

Tracy, you know that I would do anything for you and you will get past this, you have a lot on your mind right now and it seems overwhelming but there is light at the end of the tunnel and you will find peace there I assure you. I am sorry to hear of your loss of your conure, how horrific for you both, as I have a sun conure and she is such a delight but I am glad to hear that you want another bird in your life, once you have one you find you cannot be without them. A grey would make an excellent choice and you are so smart to find out what you can before you make that final decision. If you do decide to go with a grey you have our full support, we will do what we can to help you in any way we can, we are family here.

Well Eddie has found a purpose for his scratching and I don't blame him for that, he can get in a little nip now and then:laugh:

Proof that men do remember... A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband is not in bed. She puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall. She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee. "What's the matter, dear?" she whispers as she steps into the room, "Why are you down here at this time of night?" The husband looks up from his coffee, "It's the 20th anniversary of the day we met". She can't believe he has remembered as he starts to tear up. The husband continues, "Do you remember 20 years ago when we started dating? I was 18 and you were only 16," he says solemnly. The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring and sensitive. "Yes, I do" she replies. The husband pauses. The words were not coming easily. "Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car?" "Yes, I remember" said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him. The husband continued. "Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, "Either you marry my daughter or I will send you to prison for 20 years?" She replied softly, "Yes, I remember that too." He wiped another tear from his cheek and said, "I would have gotten out today."

But we do throw in a little foolishness too, so don't mind the silly banter, its just us being us, we really are helpful when we put our minds to it.:laugh:

With all the birds you have Tiffani I just bet all that does break loose, it must be something to listen to all your flock come to life in the mornings :laugh: no sleeping in at your place.:blink:

No I would imagine that all baby safe toys would be safe for our greys.

Ronda, you have got to be kidding me, you have never been on a vacation, you have got to get off that ridge and get out in this world:P Alaska for one! What country would you like to go to for your next vacation?

Its funny to watch and she usually does it on her playtop when she wants me to come and get her, she looks so pitiful that of course I break down and get her, I can't deny her.:blush: :laugh:

Josey still does that from time to time and she is going on 22 months of age, it looks like a chicken scratching.

Sam I can't imagine how you must feel at this moment and they don't know where your bird is, doesn't that just figure. I hope they find him and keep him some place warm until he can get to you. I don't know if you can hold them responsible but I sure would try, how can they lose a bird. Keep us informed as to what you find out.:angry:

Looks lip smacking good, my how he has changed, he is all feathered up and looking good, you will be bringing him home soon and then we will see who's bird he is. Thanks Ronda for keeping us updated on Casper's development. B)

For crying out loud, get off your soapbox about the NY Giants zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Nice day today here in Virginia, but I had snow Saturday in WV where I was visiting my son and family, in fact it snowed so much Ronda couldn't come off her ridge to see me, but we are on for the next time. Just waiting for spring to start and soon time to put in a garden, love those veggies.
