  2. Even if Melissa did get the pm regarding installing a hidden camera, Penny is too smart a woman to be caught that way!!! :laugh: B) :lol: :whistle: :woohoo:
  3. Perhaps try emailing him as he might get it sooner:P
  4. Not2bmartyred, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little about yourself.
  5. Falconeer for one FairY but he hasn't been on lately but surely someone will recognize this bird and tell us what it is, now you got me curious about it:huh: :side:
  6. I have no idea either FairY but then I am a long ways from where you are, maybe some of the members who are from your area of the world will know what they are and identify them for you;)
  7. Kim, I just bet in time she will adjust to her new home and regrow those feathers and everything will be just fine. So glad to hear she had a clean bill of health from the vet, that is always reassuring when adopting. If you have some pictures of her you would like to share with us we would love to see her and is her name Sammie?
  8. Melisa is right, it is never too late to bond with a grey, it may just take longer so you have to be very patient and not expect too much too soon. I assume you must have one in mind since you are asking but go visit the bird and see how things go, you will soon know if that is the right choice for you.
  9. Mary in that last pic the feet do look kinda small but in the second pic they look normal, must have been the camera angle makes it look misleading. Jjcool if you haven't had your grey checked out by an avian vet I would do so as soon as possible to rule out any physical reason for the plucking. Dave has given you some of the best advice of any one here on this forum as he knows his greys and I will add my two cents worth. Try adding that little bit of red palm oil to some cooked oatmeal, that is how Josey gets her daily suppliment of the stuff. I know this is very frustrating to you to have a plucking bird but do not react to the plucking, just ignore it for a reaction to it by you could be reinforcing it as a habit for him.
  10. No I am not tired of them, I think they are pretty and would have one but at least this way I can enjoy them without physically owning one;) :laugh:
  11. Welcome back Melissa and I am so sorry to hear of Piper's death by choking but sometimes things are just not meant to be. Sometimes when one door closes another one opens and now you have the opportunity to adopt another grey and are bringing it home this weekend. When you get the chance fill us in on the details of this grey and maybe share a picture with us if you can.
  12. Hello Ross, you have been given some excellent advice from both Heatherstrella and Lovemygreys on the questions you asked so I won't answer each one individually but I will give my opinion on a few. Bigger is better on the cage size, they need room to be able to open their wings fully and flap without touching the sides of the cage. Cags tend to be a little larger in body size than the Tags with the other obvious differences in beak color and tail color so that might be a factor in your decision. We do try to answer as quickly as possible but with time differences the response time can vary. Ross and Erin, why don't you introduce yourselves in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you two.
  13. I'm sure she will Tari and maybe you can get a pic of her enjoying her new hatch day toy if you can get one and share it with us;)
  14. Hello Sabrina and welcome to the family, so glad you joined us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your love for birds. Like Tracy, aka LovemyGreys, I waited until after my kids were older, in fact they are married and have children of their own, to own parrots so there is still plenty of time to add them to your life. Like you I love to watch the wild birds come to the feeder and then my son gave me a pair of finches one year for Christmas, then I finally got a sun conure and then my grey. You and your kids browse all around the site and enjoy the stories and information we have here and if you want to share some stories of the birds that come to your feeder you are welcome to do so. If you have any pictures of any of the birds that come to your yard to feed you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  15. Jimmy you almost gave me a heart attack when I seen the thread as I thought you had lost Cosmo!!:blink: :ohmy: Cosmo will be fine Jimmy and he won't forget you I assure you of that and he will be so glad to see you on your return. You have a lovely time at Disney World and enjoy yourself:P B)
  16. Well I won't mention what sounds Josey imitates but I am sure you can figure those out for yourselves:woohoo: :blush: :woohoo: :blush: :laugh:
  17. Noah is a good sized little fella at over 9 lbs and he is a cutie, babies are so precious and this one is no exception, thanks Pat for sharing your grandson with us, I'll just bet you are simply beaming with pride, congrats Grandma!!
  18. Hello Ajlinva and welcome to the family, so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and the new to you grey. I am so glad that you are willing to open your heart and your home for a 10 year old grey in need of a new home. It won't be the same as bringing home a baby grey but with a lot of time and patience you can win him over. Rehomed birds usually come with baggage that makes the settling in and getting comfortable a little more difficult but not impossible. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have, we will do our best to get some answers for you and help you in any way we can. When you get the chance to get some pictures if you would share some of him with us we would love to see him.
  19. You are one smart man {Feel-good-000200BB}
  20. Are you sure he isn't chewing some gum there, the way he is rolling around his tongue I would swear that is what it looks like to me but I know you didn't give him any gum, guess it is just something he has started doing, I wouldn't be too concerned if that is all it is. :cheer: :whistle: :blink: :laugh:
  21. About #10, most men are, heh heh heh {Feel-good-0002006E}
  22. A few now and then is ok but not for a regular diet of them, you can use them for treats and as a reward for doing tricks or desired behaviors. B)
  23. Yeah that would be the bare minimum size, I wouldn't go any smaller but if you really want a playtop one why not just wait a little longer and get the one you want. What kind of cage does your Tag stay in right now? If you can hold out a little longer its no sense in spending the money for a cage now and then another one later. Thats my opinion Ashley.:lol: :cheer:
  24. Terri you need to catch some of this action on video and share it with us, Bella sounds like a real hoot to watch, I know I would love to see it and others here too.:silly: B)
  25. Sounds like a plan Terri, work off some of that stress, wish I could go with ya, I could use a drink too!!!:whistle:
