  1. XhugsX coming your way Terri!! Bella is definitely molting and maybe you can bathe her more often now and use the aloe vera juice too, that seems to help them more than anything else. I'm more concerned about you than Bella, she seems to have everything under control and you are the one about to fall apart, get a grip woman as this is going to happen from time to time!!  :silly:
  2. Aww come on now Penny, be a good sport and have Melissa video that song and dance for us, my gosh you own a dance studio for cris sakes, indulge us a little here as we all need a little laugh, well maybe a big laugh, all right we would laugh our heads off but thats no reason to not do it, come on huh!!! {Communicate-0002011B}
  3. Melisa I know it was no easy decision to let that Tag go but sometimes its just not meant to be and you recognized that and he found a new home, just like Pat had happen to her, the bird made the best decision for you and do not feel quilty, be very happy as the bird is happy now. Now you have another grey for as one door closed another one opened, it was meant to be this way.
  4. Calm down Terri, if its only a molt you have nothing to worry about as she won't lose them all at once. Have you checked the ends of the feathers to see if the ends are frayed or chewed looking? Don't stress out about this or she will know something is amiss, as long as she is acting normal in every way and it seems she is, don't sweat the small stuff, just ignore it:whistle:  :silly:
  5. I plan to do something special on Josey's hatch day on the 25th of this month, she ain't getting no cake for she doesn't need it or me either but I may give her a little extra cheese, she absolutely loves that stuff. Josey will be 2 whole years old then.
  6. Yep they are great for us humans as they are loaded with vitamin C and other goodies but are low in calories as long as you keep the sugar away from them. I may have fresh ones from my own patch next year if I am lucky, hubby just planted them this year and I had to pick all the bloom off but next year they should bear fruit, yummy:laugh: Josey doesn't much care for the ones I buy at the grocery store, like tomatoes they are bred to be hard so they will transport better but those homegrown will be tender and juicy, dripping down my chin:lol:
  7. Kudos to you Penny for making a game out of having to administer Talon her meds, you are a smart woman and whatever works but what I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall when that song and dance routine is going on, sorry I just had to say that:blush:  Maybe in a few more days it will all be over and that is good that she doesn't hold any grudges, you would be in trouble if she did. B)
  8. Hello Vacationv and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Abbey. Yes they are wonderful birds aren't they, we all just love our greys to death, once you have one you are hooked for life, they provide so much joy and happiness to our lives. Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask questions you may have and we will do our best to get you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Abbey you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  9. Mark you should have entered that in the contest that Talonsis had in the photography room, that is an awesome picture of a cat's eye!! Thanks for sharing it with us Mark.
  10. Hello Melisa, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you and your Tag but it seems he has a new home now and maybe that was for the best. Now you have a Cag so let this one stay in your life, remember it is a lifetime committment you make with one of these birds. If you want to name your baby Gandalf I don't see why not, some names are more popular than others but who cares, if that is the name you like best then use it.:cheer:
  11. Lisa, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little about yourself and whether you have a grey or not!!
  12. Glad to hear Jessie is home and doing well, thanks for updating us:P
  13. Well congrats Pat on your second grandchild or should I say grandson, I have 1 grandson who is 8 years old and two granddaughters, one 7 years old and one 1.5 years old. They are all I have going to have as the parents, my two kids, are not planning anymore but I enjoy the 3 I got, maybe one day I will have great grandchildren!!
  14. I know what you mean, Sevi and it is all but impossible to sneak up on them when playing too, their good eyes catch us evey time but one of these days maybe luck will be on your side, of course you will share with us
  15. That is wonderful news Tari, Tinker Bell is home and recovering nicely and you have a very considerate vet there to give you a break on the bill, most won't budge on it. :cheer: B)
  16. I use good ole newspapers as I get the daily paper so that is one way to use some of it up as it accumalates so quickly and it is no additional cost to use as with paper towels which can get expensive.
  17. Hello Sevi and welcome to the family, so glad you finally decided to join us and quit lurking:laugh: and we look forward to hearing more about you and Edison. Wow, 12 years you have had him, did you get him as a baby? He does look like a little ham but camera shy, he looks to me like he is enjoying it. I'll just bet he has you wrapped around his little talon. Take a little time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have and we will do our best to get some answers and help you in any way we can. Thanks for sharing a pic of Edison with us, we usually have to ask for them, you must have already figured that part out and gave us what we wanted right now.
  18. Now when you get that pond built I want to see a picture of it but just how big is he going to be when he stops growing?:pinch:
  19. Kim, those questions in my last post in this thread were directed to Nelson as he posted right before me and he has a similar problem and it was his first post. Just wanted to clarify that for you.
  20. Sure why not try it and see how it goes, you can always take it out if he doesn't take to it, you never know he might just burst out into a song!!!
  21. Thanks Matt for sharing them with us, the first one was posted here before. :woohoo:
  22. Now just how big will he get Matt, he will probably outgrow that tank? I will watch your snake video but they are not my kind of pet either, but if you like them and I know you do then you are welcome to them, just as long as they are not in my house:pinch:
  23. So you thought it was funny huh, yeah we like to have a little fun here while we find out about each other's greys and help each other with our problems, a little laughter brightens the day.
  24. Yes it is and we have to be very diligent to find out what things are made of to better protect our precious babies:P
