  1. This is wonderful news Tari and I am so happy that was all it was, an inner ear infection, very easily taken care of and she will be home tomorrow and may she have many more enjoyable years with you and your family. Thanks Tari for updating us on Tinkerbell:kiss:
  2. Well congrats Amanda on getting your new babies and one of them has some red factor, of course you realize that red factor may molt out, why don't you share some pictures of Jack and Jill so we can see the feathers.
  3. Could be Tracy, could be indeed:laugh: :silly:
  4. This must be more of a UK children's song/nursery rhyme because I don't recall hearing this one but it is cute, thanks Tracy for sharing that with us and for letting me know what Siobhan was talking about. B)
  5. Well I guess I want birthday but my Mom always said she got me from a cabbage patch but now that you mention it we did originate from an egg, right!!!!
  6. Now just what is this "teddy bear" thing, must be something else going on, right? Inquiring minds want to know:laugh:

Thanks so much Matt for sharing some pictures of Beans, he is a cute little cockatiel but you need to get some more recent ones also. I would continue to work with Beans, I think he just needs to be handled and worked with every day to stay tame.
  8. Bears!!!! Siobhan is afraid of the teddy bears, well Siobhan they are more afraid of you than you of them, go ahead and get some of those branches, just make a lot of noise when you go in the trees and if a bear is there they will leave quickly. Tracy, what is the surprise for Siobhan if I may ask?
  9. Maybe when you give her the bottle to play with just take a step back and let her have her fun with it then let her calm down a bit before you step in to pick her up or get close to her with your hand. They can certainly get really excited and nip without meaning any harm to you. But I would love to see a little bit of video of this action she takes out on these bottles if you could manage to do that, it would be a hoot to see!!!
  10. But you have my permission to try it Dan, go ahead and give it your best shot!!!! Such a cool pic Tracy and you can send me one on my birthday and you already know when it is so no problem, right!!!! {Feel-good-00020069}
  11. Yes he has but he was on real often for a couple of weeks then he vanished again, I think he said he was on sick leave but he didn't elaborate on it, but now he must be back at work.
  12. Like Tracy said they are able to perch at this age so move the bowls up some and pad the bottom of the cage if they are likely to fall off the perch until they are more proficient at perching and start climbing the bars. They must be the cutest things right now at 13 weeks of age, have you posted any recent pics?
  13. On another note, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and your grey, like what is his name!!!
  14. ROLLEMUP wrote: Maybe you could hire him out if he is doing a good job!!!  But seriously, I would discourage him from doing that, you could distract him with something else, maybe a toy or play a game with him, anything to take his mind off doing the nail clipping.
  15. Congrats John on bringing your new baby girl home tonight and yes I think Chilli is a fine name, just what made you pick that particular name, out of curiosity? Oh boy, pictures of Chilli, I can hardly wait!!!:woohoo:
  16. Tari I am so sorry to hear of this and it does not sound good either and I am afraid it may be bad news also for the dog is 16 years old, they don't live forever. I hope it is something simple like an inner ear problem but you won't know until Tinkerbell has seen the vet, I pray that is all it is but I will keep Tinkerbell in my thoughts and prayers the problem is simple and easily fixed. Just hang in there Tari as we will help you thru this difficult period and I await the results of the vet visit.
  17. Or when the grey mimics the sun conure then tells herself to shutup!!!!

  19. Mine too Spooky, that Snowball is the cutest thing going, thanks for sharing them with us:laugh: B)
  20. Looks like you will be going thru a lot of perches then Siobhan because I don't see him stopping, sorry I can't be of more help.

    finally

If she spread and flapped her wings then it sounds like she liked it otherwise she would have growled or tried to get away when you misted her. Maybe try taking her into the shower with you if she likes it, maybe she would get under the spray and really get wet.

Matt that is probably why he is acting the way he is if he has not been around the family much or out of his cage much, they have to be handled often or they will get a little wild. Maybe this new perch you made for him will help him in making him more social with the family and then maybe he won't be perceived as being so "dumb" Are you sure pictures are coming soon because I am anxious to see the "dummy"  B)
  23. Yeah I pretty much clip Sunny's wings all the time for safety reasons and if you have more than one conure then you have to do them all if you do one. And buddy she knows it when I get the scissors out to clip as she tries to get away from me but she never succeeds:laugh:
  24. Hello Jody, glad to hear you are doing well just busy and we have missed you on the forum. That is so sweet that Maui wants to be with the kids when they are being read to, he doesn't want to miss out on any action, and if you could capture that on video to share with us that would be super. About your question, yes I agree that the adventure pack is a little small for a longer period of time for a grey, I use mine for my sun conure. I have a bigger travel cage that I use for Josey and I have included a link so you can check it out. It collapses down for easy storage and comes with 2 bowls and holders plus a perch, I love mine and I have no problem with Josey going into it as she knows she is going somewhere. http://www.thecountryroost.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28_29&products_id=98
  25. Yes that is something you can teach your grey to do and also being able to take your grey outside on a harness, just do a search and you will find several threads dealing with both subjects Matt.
