  1. I bet Pat is on cloud nine after that, such a small thing but means so much to you, thanks for sharing that with us and heres hoping there is lots more to come.
  2. Good idea, Siobhan, maybe put a pirate flag on it too:lol: Josey does not dunk too much stuff in her water bowl, maybe it is because it is on the opposite end of her cage from her food bowls, but she does try bathing in her bowl because when I come home from work there is always a lot less water in it and I know she didn't drink all that:whistle:
  3. Monty is adorable and I absolutely love that first pic of him on that swing, thanks for sharing them with us and hope to see more now that you have posting pics down pat.

I actually feed the Roudybush to Sunny, my sun conure as she eats it better than the Harrisons but Josey prefers Harrisons best to my delight:cheer:
  5. Thanks Kebbie for sharing that pic of Chloe with us, she is a cutie, and this should have been posted in the other birds room but admin can move it, no problem;)
  6. Thanks Hannah for the update on Juji, she is becoming quite the character and I can relate to the copying of the laughter, Josey does me real good too. I second Tracy's suggestion of seeing some more pics of her, I bet she is a beaut to behold.
  7. Then we have succeeded in our goal:laugh: But most husbands are strange then aren't they, heh heh heh:lol: I like the name, it is unusual for sure, unique:whistle:
  8. Thanks Melissa for sharing the nice pics of Talon and Rikki, both are nice looking greys and I expect them to be very spoiled by their mom;) B)
  9. Pat, I don't know anything about them either but I would like to see some pictures of your baby when you get it home pleaseB)
  10. Hello Lorri and welcome to the family, we are so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Old Greg. My you do have your hands full, and you do have to watch what you wish for as you ended up with two birds. Sorry that it started out harsh for Ollie but you didn't know any better and things can be fixed but it will take time. I second Dan's remarks, give it lots of time and use the utmost patience in working with these two birds, they have come into a new home with new owners and they are leary of you and their surroundings. You will be able to build a good relationship with the both of them but it will take lots of effort on your part to build that trust. The road won't be easy but in the end it will all be worth it and we have some members here who have been in your shoes and can guide you thru this process so keep an open mind. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so take some time to read thru as many as you can and do not hesitate to ask any and all questions you may have and we will do our best to find you some answers and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Old Greg and Ollie you would like to share with us we would love to see them.
  11. I think that at 11 you are too young to try to devote your time to the care of a grey especially since your parents would be no help to you. You need to enjoy your school years and then settle down into a job then give a grey a home if that is still what you want. A cockatiel is a much better choice for the time being but you sound like you would make a good parront for one in the future should you so decide, good luck to you.
  12. If you are talking about hanging upside down, that is perfectly normal and cute, its probably hard to stand up on that wire than just hang from it, at least you finally got the hang of posting photos, so congrats on that, but enjoy the swinger.
  13. Hello Zahra and welcome to the family, we are so glad you decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your grey. In my opinion this forum is very active, we have new members joining every day and there are many posts and new threads started on a daily basis, one of the most active forums I have been a part of. Just start a new thread and see how quickly a response you get to it, we are a bunch of grey lovers who want to help others out with any problems they may be having. You did have many different kinds of pets growing up, I had the usual dogs and cats but no parrots, just a couple of parakeets, it was late in life that I got interested in parrots but better late than never. Maybe sometime you can tell us a little about your life in Denmark compared to life here in the USA, I have never been out of the USA but am planning a visit to the UK next year, can't wait. For lots of useful information please read thru the many threads and if you have any questions just ask as we are willing if not able to find you some answers and we will help you in any way we can. If you haven't already, if you would like to share some pictures of your grey we would love to see it.
  14. I love that picture of them Siobhan:kiss:
  15. I too enjoyed the video and Spooky may have hit the nail on the head about the dry air in Arizona, I can see where the plucking may have been more likely there with the dry air, but then I am of the opinion that some greys are going to be pluckers no matter what. Thanks for sharing that link with us Christina.
  16. OMG, he pulled those flight feathers without any anesthesia:ohmy:  I would be mad as hell too, I know that would be very painful, NO I absolutely wouldn't take Jack back to see him, right now punching his lights out sounds better and better:angry:
  17. Hello SweetFX and welcome to the family, so glad you found us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your new Tag. He is adorable from the pic you shared with us and a lovely baby grey, I know you are going to enjoy this grey very much and he will bring a lot of joy into your life. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your sun conure, I also have a sun conure, was my first parrot, and I love her dearly and she brings a lot of happiness into my life, I couldn't imagine life without her, she is my constant companion. Sometimes life deals us hardships that we don't understand but we make the best of it and go on but this new grey will bring a lot of joy to you, I feel you have a lot to offer him, your love is the best. This grey chose you and I know you two are in for a lifetime of happiness, this was meant to be and I think you know that too. Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information while you are waiting for him to come home and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. We will do our best to find you some answers and help you in any way we can. Thanks for sharing a pic of him with us, he is such a cutie and I know you can hardly wait for him to come home with his momma, congrats on becoming a greyt owner.
  18. Thanks Dan, this warning bears repeating so glad you posted again if it saves one bird then it is worth it.
  19. Dan is right, the claws may just be a little sharp but they need a certain amount to be able to climb and play, I end up with a few scratches on me all the time from Josey's nails but they are not too long. You need a few of those cement perches strategically placed in the cage for maximum usage to keep the talons in check.
  20. I found the photo there on the profile too, but it is not that complicated to post a pic in a thread, did you read the article in the FAQ section on posting pics? I enjoyed the picture also, thanks for sharing.
  21. What's going on Melisa, why is he no longer living with you, it seemed you wanted him real badly and now you have found him a new home, I am a little confused as to what has happened, will you fill us in on it:huh:
  22. I agree with M2MM, if it isn't bleeding leave it alone. The smaller cage probably contributed to the bent feather, he needs to be in a full size cage.
  23. Hello Ian and welcome to the family, so glad you have decided to join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Jack. I can't believe that Jack is spoiled, how in the world can you spoil such a bird but I am guilty as well for you just cannot deny them anything. So Jack had a bad clipping, well that will be taken care of when he goes thru his next molt but was he allowed to learn to fly and land properly before clipped? Take some time and read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask any and all questions you may have and we will do our best to find some answers for you and help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of Jack you would like to share with us we would love to see him.
  24. I'm dying here waiting, please get it up before the year is over, can you:laugh: {Communicate-00020132}
  25. Carl, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us a little more about you and Joey.
