  1. Heather, neither will Josey, I guess we have the ones who don't go for that upside stuff but Ben sure does, thanks for sharing that pic with us.

    Which Bird!?

They are very colorful birds too and I am sure you enjoy yours immensely, thanks for sharing a picture of yours with us.
  3. Dave is right, it does look a little extreme and the sooner you can get it looked at the better.
  4. Hello Chefseehus and welcome to the family, so glad you found us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your grey. Most people do post here with a problem for it is usually what they are looking for to begin with, an answer to a question and by joining our group you have joined a family of people who either have greys or have a love for them, we are an unique group of people, sometimes a little crazy but we love our greys. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. If you have some pictures of your grey you would share with us we would love to see them.
  5. She is regarding her cage as her safe place where she feels comfortable and is hesitant to step up from there but give her some time but maybe she is just not going to step up onto your hand from the cage, they are all individuals. Why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some more about you and your grey.
  6. Thanks Steph for sharing those pictures with us, Stella is a greyt looking grey now that she is all cleaned up. That is a nice looking toy but since it is made up of a lot of string you will need to keep an eye on her when she is playing with it so she does not get entangled in loose threads, supervise playtime with that toy.

    My New Fids

They are beautiful Toni and I hope you have many nice babies out of them, they are not for me but you go girl, thanks for sharing a couple of pics with us.
  8. Hello Andrea and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Tequila. So if you have only had Tequila for a month was she a rehomed or rescued grey? Do you know much about her background? Thats great that you could take her in and give her a home. It does take a while for a grey especially one who has had at least one other home to settle in and feel comfortable but give her lots of time and she will come around, the important thing is not to rush her, let her set the pace. You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so do read thru them and ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We do love pictures here so if you have some of Tequila you would share with us we would love to see them.
  9. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Staro but you did everything you could to save him but it just wasn't meant to be, he is no longer suffering but flying freely over the Rainbow Bridge. Take some comfort in the fact that there are others here who understand how you must feel and sharing that with us will help you heal.
  10. I guess some people are lucky, you certainly are:)
  11. Well only you can make that decision and if you feel a grey is not the right fit then you made the right choice. A grey is an awesome creature but they do tend to not be a family bird but then you never know you may eventually get one but at least you have the love for one. I hope you are not leaving the forum for having a grey is not a requirement to be a member, just a love for greys is all that matters so stay and be a part of the family, we love having you here and we have an other birds room where you can share your new bird with everyone.
  12. Congrats Aubri on bringing home your grey, Tim and like the others said, give him time and let him decide when he will allow you to touch and hold him, you can't rush trust, it has to develop on its own.
  13. Hello Farrah and welcome to the family, so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and Dr Pepe. You have certainly done your homework and know that a grey is what you want and that it is a good fit for you and I know you can hardly wait until you can actually take possession of this precious grey. Wow a doctor, you have completed many years of study for this profession and I know you have worked long and hard for it, good luck to you on your thesis. You will find lotsof useful information in our many threads and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can.
  14. Kyle, has something happened in the household that may have triggered this behavior? It may not seem like anything has but it does not take much for it to seem like a big deal to a grey? Does she get bathed regularly? We need some more information before we can be of some help. We do have a few members here who know a lot more than I do about this subject, maybe they will chime in with some ideas and suggestions for you.
  15. Shame on you Erika for watching such filth:S  just kidding, I kinda like horror movies too but not kid killing, even though it is just a movie that is a tender subject. Josey pays no attention to what is on the TV so it does not matter what is on, she won't watch it. Maybe you need to get more comedies and leave the horror movies for someone else.:pinch:
  16. Maybe he decided to go on a fast for a couple of days, glad to hear he is back to eating again, man can they keep us worrying about them all the time.
  17. Heh heh heh Azzie:blush:
  18. Your Cleo sounds like a real doll, so cuddly and cute and that is great that she took to the shower so well as a lot of us have a problem with that. You better scrutinize any programs she watches to be careful she doesn't hear a lot of words and sounds you don't want constantly repeated during the day but they can pick up the darndest ones.
  19. I am so proud of you Erika for having the courage to go back to school and learn a new trade. I know it is not an easy task for I did just that myself except I was a little older when I went back, I graduated from community college a month before my 50th birthday. I loved that experience, of course I had some friends that went with me so I had company all the way but it just goes to show you are never too old to go back to school or to learn. You can practice on me anytime, too bad you are in Texas and I am in Virginia, maybe a trip to Texas is just what this old body needs.

    Baby cage

Farrah, why don't you introduce yourself in the welcome room and tell us some about you and your grey and some pictures when you get some.
  21. You do have one beautiful grey Carol, thanks for sharing some pics with us.
  22. Well don't make us wait too long, I want to see some jokes, I need a laugh desperately!!
  23. Those are some great pictures of your baby Ahjari, you have one beautiful grey baby Carol and thanks so much for sharing those with us, the wait is getting shorter and shorter.
  24. Hey you take what you get and now that Molly has finally spoken her first word more will be forthcoming so be patient and maybe one of her next words will be Jamal, congrats on her first word.
