  1. Thats great that they get along so well for usually they don't unless they are clutchmates, how wonderful it must be for them to play together and be able to share one cage but in time I would recommend you have two separate ones for them.
  2. Yes we have members from all over the world and we all share one common bond, our love for greys and you will find we are a friendly bunch and very helpful. Read thru this thread I have provided a link to, it will help you with posting pictures for we love pics here if you hadn't already noticed. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/welcome-&-introduction-room/54297-how-to-post-pictures.html
  3. Yes he does Tracie, he banged his beak on a coaster I had on the coffee table, I didn't know whether he was trying to hear how it sounded or how hard it was but Josey doesn't do that.
  4. Yes at times it will be more solid like and other times there will be more water in it, depends on what they have been eating, usually if they have consumed some fruit it will be more watery.
  5. I assume your two greys are clutchmates since they share a cage for usually two separate birds won't get along in the same cage. I would suggest you do get a divider or a separate cage so each will have a space that they can call their own personal home. As they mature they usually become more independent and may want to be alone at times.
  6. Hello Debbie and welcome to our family, we are so glad you could join us and we look forward to hearing more about you and your two greys. What are the names of your greys, how old are they, what sex are they and how long have you had them? Please read thru the many threads for lots of useful information and do ask questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. We love pictures here so if you have some of your greys you would share with us we would love to see them.

    Eyes

I think they are all about the same, I think it depends on what angle you are looking at them, Joseys look more round at times and others there is a slight almond shape. Some people clain you can tell the sex by the shape of the eye but I think that is bull.
  8. Don't you just love how our birdies love to help us with our posting and the ideas they come up with are mind boggling which is why I try to keep my two away from my computers. Sunny did manage to remove some of the keys off my laptop but I got them back on except one of the arrow keys is crooked, oh well I can live with that. I can't help you with the problem with private messages, don't know what is going on there but something is just not right, maybe one of the geeks can help you out with that Pat.
  9. Jill you are always stressed but yeah anyone who wants to join me in a drink or two or three oh whos counting, break out the bottle and chug it.
  10. Well at least you are in good company!
  11. I gotta have me one of these Dan, when can I expect delivery!!
  12. Nobody but Jill could pull this off, glad you took it on yourself to start this thread, I have been wondering about you lately but now I am convinced you are one nutty woman, I can relate to that. Ok I've got one, how long have you been this stupid Jill or did it come on with the acquistion of Harvey? {Feel-good-0002006E}
  13. We could throw out our paper shredders, who needs them when you have birds, nobody could put them pieces back together after they have a go at them.
  14. I'm more than ready, can't wait until Friday, oh who cares I'm having one tonight, I need it.
  15. It makes noise right, thats all it is, greys love to make noise, whether it is banging a toy or a bell, I haven't seen Josey do it but I did see another grey do it once.
  16. Now I see why you shouldn't get another bird, you would be a nervous wreck for sure, this one little bird has you heading for the loony bin and he isn't even a year old yet, I shudder to think of what the future holds for you, world watch out. Thanks for giving me a laugh today Jill, that with what my doctor told me today that I had the blood pressure of a teenager, I am in fine form.
  17. I look forward to seeing some pictures of Cookie when you get the chance.
  18. Thanks Tracie for the list of ingredients, I could not find it on the website.
  19. I don't know what is in this stuff, I looked on their website and it didn't list the ingredients, I would not use it without knowing what was in it but yes a bird is supposed to be a bird, they make noise, don't know how this stuff is supposed to work but I will not be using it.
  20. I'll get one of the mods for this room to delete the extras, sometimes when you hit submit it goes a little slow and you end up hitting it again and it double posts, next time give it a little more time.
  21. She looks right at home in her new cage, I love the way the food and water are in the side like that, now I want one for Josey, guess I better save up some money, right! Thanks for sharing the video of Sachi exploring her new home.
  22. Are you kidding Lyn, Alfie is gorgeous without a doubt, thanks for sharing this one with us, now bring on more if you like.
  23. I have two birds, my grey along with a sun conure and they don't get along but they co exist just fine as long as I keep a safe distance between them when they are both out. Josey doesn't have all her flight feathers right now so she can't fly but my conure does. She never goes to her cage to bother her but if I have both of them on my shoulder at the same time I have to keep them on separate sides. Having two birds is really no more work for me than having just one and even though they are in separate cages they are company for each other while I am gone. I doubt it would be stressful for Tobie, he probably wouldn't pay much mind to another fid in the house.
  24. I guess like us we have our good days and bad days so as long as she is eating and otherwise acting normal then I wouldn't worry, you are right about if the feathers are fluffed up and sitting on the bottom of cage that is a sign of illness.
  25. I wouldn't worry about it Robin, he is just different as they all are, my sun eats throughout the day but especially when it is first offered. Sun conures can be very lovable as is mine, she just wants to be on me all the time, she just hooks her talons in my shirt and goes along for the ride.
