    Pumpkin....

You should have gotten a picture of her buried in that pumpkin, maybe next time, I know pumpkin seeds are in a lot of the parrot mixes so I would think they are ok too but someone correct me if I am wrong.
  2. Barbara sounds like my kind of woman and this kind of stuff goes on all the time because we don't have the proper laws on the books regarding animal cruelty, I hope they do find something to get him on.
  3. I can't wait to see if you choose a Cag or a Tag.
  4. Oh my what an adorable pup, hope you can wait until spring.
  5. I have no doubt they are capable of a lot more than what we give them credit for, thanks for sharing that with us Dan.
  6. I usually wash the birdie bowls in the sink by hand but I wash our dishes in the dishwasher. The fids very seldom eat anything out of our plates and such but if they rinse thoroughly then it shouldn't be a problem.
  7. Such pretty wet Zons, love them and thanks for sharing your wet ones with us.
  8. I see Dave is up to his old tricks again, whats the matter you bored, when will it ever end!
  9. Thanks for sharing those pics with us but one word of caution, please do not take Corky outside without either being on a harness or in a small cage as I would hate for him to fly away.
  10. Thanks Dee for that wonderful update on Kopi, I know you enjoy these snuggling times and he sounds like he is sort of timid like my Josey but the two of you are getting along nicely. That is funny that he pinched your nose as if to say "quiet down as you are making too much noise" what a picture that must be of him laying on your chest with his feet hanging down, if you could get a picture of that I would love to see it.
  11. Here is one site that one of the members got a lot of parts from: http://www.cheepparrottoysntips.com/
  12. Thats a small step, one of many to come, you are doing excellent, keep up the good work.
  13. Thats excellent advice Carolina and remember small steps, be patient and in time good things will follow.
  14. Thanks Karen for the update on Angel, such a shame that he has had to live the way he did and thank you for being a part of his recovery and helping to do what it takes to give this bird a decent life. I'd like to throw more than the book at this jerk who did this, just give me 5 minutes, I swear some people just shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.
  15. How anyone could do such a thing to a beautiful creature is beyond me, they must have s**t for brains and so sad that this bird will never fully recover from this hideous mistreatment but Dan has the right idea of contacting a bird rescue organization for they would know how to help this poor bird. Please keep us informed Karen.
  16. That is awesome to watch, that macaw just flies along right with his owner, thanks for sharing that with us.
  17. She was such a pretty little bird, she now flies free over the Rainbow Bridge but her memories will always be in your Dad's heart.
  18. I love it, we should all teach our birds to say that and no one will bother us, thanks for sharing that story with us Birdnut.
  19. What a pretty little bird, so sad his life was cut short and give my condolenses to your Dad on his loss.
  20. That is good news Jan, may Tobie be flying for the rest of his life.
  21. I am so sorry about Juliet and please give your Dad my condolenses on his loss, he will miss her terribly.
  22. Yes that is a good one and I like the second one for it shows off all his gorgeous colors.
  23. I use the bowls for water also, sometimes they like to try to take a bath in them and I change the water daily or more often depending on how much soup one of them tries to make, I have to agree with Janet, even if you use the water bottles you still need to change the water daily or it becomes stale and then develops an off odor.
  24. Louie, Louie is enjoying his shower and when he spreads his wings it shows off his beautiful colors, what a handsome fella he is, thanks Janet for sharing those pics with us.
  25. Its hard to get the back feathers wet as they are waterproof, if the bird cooperates they will fluff their feathers out and that opens up the feathers so the water gets in where the skin is but sadly my Josey will not do that when I give her a shower so I do the best I can, I do kind of lift her feathers by hand to get some water in where the skin is, wish she loved bathing.
