Companions can take many forms but all offer unconditional love, I am so sorry for your loss and not many people can say they had an armadillo for a companion.

One thing I want to point out is not to stress out over the plucking, they pick up on our emotions so try to stay calm about it, many here have plucked birds and if the bird is otherwise happy and healthy then its not the end of the world.

I don't consider Dave's response to be any kind of bullying, he can be blunt in his posts but that is just the way he is. So sorry to hear of the loss but it probably was of a broken heart, doesn't matter how big or small they are for they capture our hearts but they both are together now.
