1. Did you say $300? Wow! What a good price for that. :woohoo:
2. That's very good advice Judy. Talon will bite, but not hard. She mostly does it when someone is trying to get her to step up when she doesn't want to. She bites me, much less than anyone else, because I ignore it and make her step up anyways. The others in the house will say something to her, even tho they are told not too. Thus reinforcing what she thinks is fun! :silly:
3. Thanks Judy! I did not know that. But I do now! :dry:
4. Nice picture Cd. He looks so cute!

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2007/06/21 02:34
5. Judy, what about cooked mushrooms?
6. Hmmmmm................perhaps I will.
7. Are you the chosen one to rescue us damsels in distress?? {Characters-0002005D}
8. Richardsmommy That is a great picture and I love the caption!
9. I agree with Cd, although Talon was 8 1/2 weeks when we picked her up at the airport. I think it was very young for her to have gone thru such an event and change of environment. She had a rough 2 weeks when she first came. She was weaned, but longed for the only home she had ever known. It was very sad to see, but she adjusted well, and is a very happy bird now.
10. Do you try talking to him in a soothing voice before you approach him. Are you approaching slowly? Maybe more information would be helpful.
11. Heather, those are beautiful pictures. I love the colors in the gecco's.
12. I agree with Becca. I use more attention than treats when rewarding Talon. It seems to work well for her.
13. I'm with you Caspersmum. I'd be there with you as well! I guess we could hang out there together, until someone comes to salvage us? Anyone.............................{Feel-bad-00020072}
14. Talon was clipped when we got her at 8 1/2 weeks. She can fly, and learned how, as soon as her wings grew enough to try. I think it is, and always will be instinctive of them to try to fly.
15. Splint. That's great. Like Judy said, you are lucky, cause Talon hates to get wet also. Keep it up!!:woohoo:
16. Okay, everyone, I posted these 2 pictures so you can see for yourself just how much dander and feathers are floating around your house. These are pictures of the foam filter from one air cleaner that is under Talon's play cage downstairs. (I have 3 air cleaners downstairs, and 3 upstairs) She spends very little time in this cage, but will spend a few hours each day on the top or the outside playing. These are foam type filters that you rinse out each week. So, CD, if you haven't bought one yet, GO DO IT!! :silly:
17. That's great news!! I'm so happy. Whatch out, she'll be telling you what to do next!! :laugh: :woohoo:
18. Hey, the reason why, is because you recommended that book. I bought it and just finished reading it!! :lol: It's great, I learned quite a bit from that book. THANK-YOU JUDY! {Love-000200DB}
19. Our grey is a girl, but we didn't know her gender for the first year and a half. She definitely loves my husband. He spends very little time with her, only lunch and sometimes after dinner because he's not home much. But she seems to like all of us for different reasons. (we have 4 boys and 2 girls in our family) She just seems to get very excited around him.
20. That is so cute!!! {Nature-00020095}
21. That first one is so cute! A rockin out birdie!!{Feel-good-000200A2} I've seen the Einstein one many times, and Talon enjoys watching it also. Maybe she'll learn something........:silly:
22. Wow! I've never heard of clipping one side only. I would make sure both sides are done, and done correctly. Then let them grow out so he can learn to fly for his own safety before clipping again. :dry:
23. A quote from Bobbi Brinker's Book: FOR THE LOVE OF GREYS The trembling movement of a resting Grey's breast feathers is normal. When the breast feathers are relaxed and slightly fluffed, these very light small feathers may tremble slightly in response to the heart beat and respiration. So Judy and others are correct. It is normal and has nothing to do with stress.
24. Judy, Josey is talking now??? That's great!!{Feel-good-000200BB}

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2007/06/17 23:56
