1. Hello to both of you. I'm glad you joined us here! I look forward to hearing more! B)
2. I use GSE in the humidifier I have for my birds.
3. TUBESCREAMER, OUR MEMBERS HERE ARE BEING WAY TO NICE TO YOU. YOU DON'T DESERVE THAT GREY IF YOU EVEN HAVE ONE, AND I'M NOT CONVINCED YOU DO. YOU BETTER NOT BE PLAYING WITH OUR MEMBERS HERE. I BELIEVE YOU TO BE A TROLL UNLESS OTHERWISE PROVEN TO ME DIFFERENTLY. I WILL GIVE YOU A CHANCE TO PROVE YOURSELF TO US AS A MEMBER WHO REALLY DOES HAVE A GREY, AND WOULD CARE FOR IT IN THE WAY THAT IT DESERVES TO BE CARED FOR. AS ADMIN HERE, I WILL BE WATCHING EVERY WORD YOU WRITE. CONSIDER THIS YOUR WARNING. I DON'T LIKE WHAT I'M SEEING HERE FROM YOU SO FAR.

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2008/02/17 01:35

Meats

Talon loves to gnaw on a chicken bone. Give it a try with Josey, Judy. She'll love it!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
10. You shouldn't need to clip his nails. They can wear them down. There are plenty of perches that will keep their nails filed down. If you really need to do something, use an emery board to file them down.
11. Back on topic please.........:silly:
12. Talon is 2 years and 4 months old. So, We are experiencing the terrible twos. If you read their body language and respect their space, it will pass pretty smoothly. But know that there are good days, and bad days. They do get moody, and try to assert their independence on occasion. :pinch:
13. Steph, with all due respect, bringing him outside, is a catastrophe waiting to happen. Many members have felt the way you do about clipping and a false sense of security. Ask them, they have experienced a fright of a lifetime, some never having their greys lost forever. Please do your research, and for HIS safety, put a harness on him! You are much too trusting, even with the dogs. Also, seeing as it was only in the low 40's today where you live, that is much too cold for a grey. Anything below 60 outside where there is a breeze is too cold. They can get sick from cold drafts. We are just concerned for all greys here. We love them all like they were our own. Please don't take it as an attack. We just care, and are offering helpful advice.

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2008/02/12 01:38
14. Thank you Snowman for the update. I really appreciate hearing from you. It's interesting that toothpicks must be his "comfort" thing to do. Please don't be a stranger. We'd love to hear from you more often. Just join in the fun, you don't have to have a problem to post!
15. Kristin that's wonderful! I'm so proud of you!!!

Ask a Question

I did have some, but I am learning that there are always new fulfilling experiences and opportunities every day that I never knew existed. Have you met the love of your life yet?
17. Okay, A sticky it is!! :) FairY, could we make a link to this on our home page, perhaps with bold lettering on the title, so members will see it and be able to click on it?
18. Your right Judy, it is a great feeling to have others notice. B) It takes a lot of hard work, determination and lots of willpower, But you already know that. So when others notice, it really makes all that hard work worthwhile!! :woohoo:
19. Denise, I am so excited for you. Please keep us informed on how things go. Remember it will take some time for him adjust. So, be patient, and give him lots of TLC, which I can tell by your posts you will!
20. Hi Justin, and welcome. I look forward to hearing more from you. Pictures, we love!!
21. Aww Dan, thanks for rubbing it in. It was 35 here today, a warm spell for us. Well,it is Sat. am, very early, everyone is in bed sleeping, and tomorrow we are expecting MORE snow! I want spring!!!!!! :( :( :(
22. Everyone here is giving great advice. Never trust any animal with your birds. They do, and always will have that wild instinct surface when they are startled, no matter how well they are trained. Dan is correct, it only takes a second for trouble to strike your bird.
23. Hi Mike, and Welcome! I hope you'll post some pictures. Congratulations to you for adopting him, and I love that name btw!!
24. How is he doing? Any updates??
