1. I am pleased to announce that Danmcq has been promoted to Moderator of all the rooms at Greyforums! He is not here to replace any of our moderators that are currently in place, he is only here to help out due to the fact that our membership has grown so much. It is always helpful to have 2 sets of eyes and ears. B) I am sure you will agree that he has more than earned it. He is always here for us, willing to offer advice, help, comments, a warm Welcome to our Family for our new members, encouragement when we need it, a joke when we need a laugh, he has done an incredible amount of research for us when we have asked questions, and have wanted facts to help us make important decisions for our birds. He is a good friend to us all, and he loves our birds as if they were his own, just like we all do here in this family we have built. I am happy and proud that he finds the time to be here as much as he is, he is a busy man with a very busy schedule, but he always manages to find the time for us here each and every day. He cares about us. Thank you Dan for all you do to contribute to our family. Please join me in CONGRATULATING DAN! {Love-000200BF}

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2008/11/18 16:40
  2. Stopping in this am for a quick update on everyones day. It's 29 here, sunny, but cold. I am letting the birds have their usual morning time after breakfast to chat up a storm, then I will take a shower, get the cages ready, and put them back in while I go to work. Will get home around 3, then off to take my daughter to her riding lesson that leaves us gone for about 4 1/2 hours until tonight around 9pm. Poor birdies, they only will get out this afternoon for about and hour and a half.....

  16. I have the Nikon D40X. I like it very much! There are many options. It depends how much into photography you are. Are you a point and shoot kind of person? Are you interested in easy to use options? Or are you more interested in the quality, lighting, manual adjustments, etc.?
  17. Okay everyone: it should be up & running hopefully tomorrow! This will be great! I will move this thread over into the new room, but we should add many of these ideas as separate topics! To be called............ Homemade Toys & Playstands

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2008/11/12 00:39

    Found A Way!

    I am so happy to hear this great news!! :) Thank you for keeping us informed! B)
  20. I wouldn't mist him every day. He doesn't need it. Once a week is enough. I know others do it a lot, but my greys hate it, and I don't force it . They take their own baths when they feel the need, or if I see them getting dusty, or starting to itch, I will mist them. You have only had him home 10 days, it's too soon to expect anything other than him trying to adjust to his new cage,house, family, toys, etc. Just let him take the lead. Once he feels more comfortable and somewhat trusting, he will respond to you better. But it sounds like he's quickly on his way already!
  21. Toni, just put it in your browser address bar and then right click, copy it and put it here. I like the idea of a Parrot Toy Room! Thanks for the suggestion. Karma for you!! How does everyone else feel about this idea?
