Mark, There is no "standard" jpg size. The size of the jpg is determined by the mega pixels of the camera in question. Also settings you have selected internally. You have different resolutions of in camera jpgs.. Regarding resizing.. If your intended output is a DVD for television I wouldn't resize the photos at all. The bigger the image the clearer it will look on the TV or computer.. No need to worry there.. -
Remember, a really great way to get the necessary veggies to them is to purchase bags of frozen mixed veggies. Each morning you take a hand full out, nuke them in a glass of water and you're ready to go...
-
No that's not necessary.. Our taste buds and theirs are completely different.. What's good to them isn't even remotely good to us...

Well of course I do.. I shoot RAW exclusively.. There are a few converters you could use.. The Canon program isn't the absolute best there is.. Bibble.com has a really great converter Anyway.. What I do is I scan through the photos with the camera software looking for the dogs.. They get deleted.. Next I start editing in RAW format.. fixing white balance, color enhancement, sharpening, resizing.. then I Batch save as JPG's Unless I'm gonna print.. Then I might convert to a tif.. Need more help.. Just ask -

Melissa. The last shot.. The one with the pier and small building in the background.. Very dreamy... You should make this a 20 X 16 blowup.. -

What's a typical day like for you and your bird?
CeasarsDad replied to MickeyandMe's topic in The GREY Lounge
What's a typical day like at your house? I'm up at around 6:30. Ceasars light goes on at 7:30. Out he comes and over to his play stand he goes. Like Talon does he comes in the shower with me mostly every day.. How often is your bird out of their cage? Ceasar is on his play stand all day just as long as someone is home.. If no one is home he is back in his cage.. How often are they put on a playstand? As above How much time do you spend actually handling your parrot? Ceasar is around 6 of us so it's likely he is getting lots of human interaction. I use to play video games with him on my shoulder.. Since I have been spending lots of time here I don't play video games anymore. So now he sits on my shoulder and watches me type.. What's your cleaning routine like? Papers are changed daily as Anna is a clean freak. What time do you cover/uncover their cage? Ceasar is not covered at night. His light comes on at 7:30 How often do you feed them? Ceasar gets fresh veggies every morning. I hand feed him some veggies as he has grown accustomed to this. His pellets are topped off and he's ready to go for the day. Do you take them outside, in the car, on vacation etc? Ceasar's wings are still clipped so he comes with us in the car mostly every morning when we go for Starbucks.. He likes the car. I'm not sure what I will do when his wings grow out because I'm not gonna clip him again. Perhaps I'll try the harness everyone here seems to love..<br><br>Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/06/07 01:11 -

Melissa.. Forget about asking me.. Here is the lens that would work well for you. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/352403-REG/Sigma_549101_28_70mm_f_2_8_EX_DG.html Tell MOm I said you HAVE TO HAVE IT... -

Melissa.. That's the problem.. Your lens doesn't have the ability to open up enough for good low light photography.. You need a lens that goes to at least 2.8 constant... Sigma makes nice low cost lense for you camera.. I would get something like a 28-70 2.8 for general photography... Or you could put a 50mm fixed lens on your camera that opens up to 1.8... If you want me to find a nice lense for you just ask.. See ya kiddo -

Hi Melissa, You would need to boost the ISO for lowlight shots.. Take it up to 1600 if you have to... You also need to have a lens with a wide aperture.. Something like 2.8 or larger as this allows in more light... Sometimes the lense that comes with the camera does not have an aperture that is good for low light. What is the smallest aperture your lens opens to?<br><br>Post edited by: CeasarsDad, at: 2007/06/06 03:50 -

Thanks for being concerned Splint.. It was nice talking to you today. I hope I was able to give you the information you needed.. Good luck with your camera buying decision. -
There is no way to see wood with an x-ray.. I'm thinking.. Perhaps this is a vitamin deficiency in your bird... I have read that parrots have the ability to self regulate their diet to compensation for the necessary vitamin and minerals in their system... Perhaps there is something in the wood that the bird thinks will help it.. What is your birds regular diet?

Without getting into the story of Sammy's death I want to remember him here. Sammy was our Dusky Conure. He was the friendliest bird I ever met.. So, in memory of Sammy... here he is.. I'm sorry Sammy...

Hi everyone. Thanks to FairY we got a new room. It's a room we should have had for a long time.. Many Grey owners have other birds too.. Well I know I like to talk about the "other" birds in our life and I know you do too.. So to start this off I want to show you Sonny.. Our Sun Conure.. .

Thanks FairY... WE appreicate you responding to our requests as quickly as you do.. Thank you so much for being the best Admin I know of...
