With vertical shots Melissa you don't have the ceiling to bounce off of.. So less light can hit the subject.. In these cases you might want to use normal camera position and "crop" for a vertical look.. Know what I mean?

Talon, you are right as usual.. I'll see where this goes if anywhere and perhaps just let it pass.. Yeah right.. do you hear me.. I ain't letting anything pass.. Not me.. but it won't be here in this thread..

Not sure how or why that happened.. but I really didn't mind being called a Sexist.. Know why? Probably because it's true.. You see, I am of the old school that says women should be protected, Pampered, cherished, cared for, loved, admired, respected... should I continue? because I can fill up this page with more... Hi there and like Beccy told you the cage is OK.. Regarding the "bird light" yes, get it.. Full spectrum lighting helps the bird in many ways.. All good.. Light coming in from a window does little as the window itself blocks out much of the beneficial rays needed... There are lots of threads on this forum that you can plow through.. Take your time.. I know you will find most of what you need right here..

Thanks for joining us my friend.. Even if it's a wild parrot....which I highly doubt... you should still be able to tame him.. Like any living life form, this one will soon recognize that you are no threat... and will soon see that you care for him.. Now it could take some time for this to happen.. But if you are patient you can win this battle.. Give lots of time, talk in a loving, warm caring voice and you will see major changes before you know it..
